For anyone that uses a dashcam, this might be old news but it was something I just did as soon as the amazon package arrived. Took all of 30 seconds.

I originally ran my dash cam power cable around the windshield, tucked under the headliner, behind the A pillar plastic, under my glove box and into the 12v plug on the center console. Not the cleanest way to do it. There is a 16 pin connector behind the mirror.

I ordered this from amazon : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088P4VFQ7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This kit comes with a short micro usb cable but my dash cam was older and uses a mini usb instead.
So I ordered this as well https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N5PHSJE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It comes with 2 cables with the mini usb right angle in both ways so one of them will work depending on how your dash cam is set up.

As stated it took 30 seconds to unplug the original mirror connector, plug this piggyback dongle in and turn on the truck to make sure it works.

Thank you for the info and link. I have been putting off installing my dash cam in the Tremor because I didn't want to mess with running the wire yet. Just ordered the adapter.

I just use a generic one off amazon. There are cheap ones and high end ones. Depends on what you want but mine has a dual camera in 1 housing. So the front facing camera is 4k and in cab facing one is 2k. You can get ones with a separate rear facing camera and install behind the rear glass. You can get fancy with GPS and speed showing but ultimately, i hope to never need it but have it just in case. I think if you want a basic one, get one on Black friday sales, or if you want a bit nicer, blackvue is recommended by many.

Could you share a link of the camera you're using? Thanks in advance.

i have 3 Vava front and rear dash camera.... caught my accident in Sep a month after owning the truck .... and it was $130 .... 100% worth it

@optx002 What trim level is your truck? From reading the questions on Amazon it seems this won't work on KR or Platinum or likely any truck with the lane departure warning.

Has anyone else tried it. I like the idea but it's pretty spendy to order it up here to Canada and find it won't work with my KR truck.

My truck is a Lariat and I have the lane departure assist. The harness should be here tomorrow and I will update if it affects any features.

I have a platinum. I havent driven it actually to notice anything off with the lane departure warning. I will try it later today and let you know.

well I think you would have noticed right away as from the comments it seemed like the KR and Platinum had 14 pin plugs. Maybe it's just a 150 thing.

edit: Reading the notes a guy said it wouldn't work on his 2020 Platinum F250 so really not sure what the diference is as to why it wouldn't work on his.

Just tested it and works fine.

Great.. another thing I didn't know I needed until reading on this forum. I just finished explaining why I suddenly can't live without a winch?‍♂️

Don't forget why you need a winch front and rear. If you get stuck and forward isn't an option..... There's always something ?

I had just ordered this and then saw the 50% Road Armor code...

Wire harness showed up and I compared it to the one plugged into my mirror and all the wires matched up. Just put it in and tested the USB power with my phone and all was good. No idiot lights when I started up the truck, will check the other features on next drive. I did pull the cover off and tuck some of the wire back in so that it doesn't hang down.

Now all of a sudden I feel like I need a dash cam
