A ‘want’ desire. I don’t even think they’re made anymore, but of course would need some matching for the M275 rear. Axeltech portfolio is owned by Cummins now, so no idea if they’re unobtanium now.

I've wanted to do a portal axle build on one of my 4x4s for decades. Just can't ever seem to ever pull the trigger.

Pinzgauers use a set of solid axles with portals but those are near impossible to lay hands on. There used to be a few other companies but it seems they've all gone the way of the dodo.

The portals for the new generation Bronco look sweet. Talon’s garage has them on theirs!

I'd love to find a set (or adapt something like the Broncos) to my Samurai or my CJ5.

There was a youtube video, years ago, where a guy in a fab shop made some. Some day I hope to be as talented a craftsman as that guy.

Apparently these guys are down the road from me... might stop buy and see how many tens of thousands I can't afford to have a set made for my tremor. :D

You could go with an MRAP suspension setup if you want to spend lots and have an indestructible setup!
If I win the lottery. I'll keep you posted.

The setup for the wranglers is 20,000 plus 25$ for shipping. I imagine a superduty set would be 25-30,000 plus the 25$ and for that I'd rather buy a HMMWV, Unimog, or a Pinz. :D

Fun fact, the Axletech D60 portal complete set was 'only' $7K.

Spoke with a few people today and the Axletech kits aren’t available anymore.

Contacted 74weld, and they can do it for about $20K, not including the rear axle swap required.

Is that installation as well? I would love to do this for a Bronco, but seems very pricey, although I love the legit clearance you get

I imagine it would, especially if it’s the first Super Duty they’re putting them on. (y)

74Weld mentioned they'd want the rear axle to be full floating for the swap, so at least a Dana 70-HD at minimum to maintain both the rear axle weight rating and axle tube diameter from factory (regarding my 22 model year Tremor at least).

Dana 80 might be easier to source.
