Cost of 7.3 engine F250 vs F350

Unless you need the GVWR numbers on the data plate, the two trucks are Identical in every way. Same everything except the GVWR numbers. One says it can carry more, so you'll pay higher amount for it. Same thing at the DMV and your Insurance. Just paper.

???? This makes sense. Thanks! I couldn’t wrap my mind around the price difference. Got it now!

yes because the 10 speed comes standard in f350. on 250 you pay extra because they are adding 10 speed also
This absolutely is the reason. 250 comes standard with six speed. 350 comes standard with the 10 speed. When you add the 7.3 to the 250 you are paying a measly $340 to get the 10 speed tranny . Not bad in my opinion. Then add in the Tremor package to both trucks and you get the F250 for $1190 less than the 350. Again not bad all things considered.

In Texas as far as registration fees differences... trucks at 10k or less are $54. Anything from 10,001 -18,000 is $110. So $56 bucks a year difference.
Must be nice. Arizona is rough on registration fees. Registration is estimated at $975 for the year on my 250 tremor build. Ouch.

I know I’m getting off topic... but take a look at this.

so for my build...$53,330 base msrp before options X .60 \ 100 X $2.80 = $896 + $45.50 in random fees.
I guess my dealer wasn’t too far off. The crazy thing is this estimate is with avoiding commercial registration because it’s a “3/4” ton. Prices goes up hundreds per year depending on the weight you declare if you register commercial (any 1 ton).
We have to be one of the highest registration states in the US.

That's insane. I'd be standing at the intersections with a sign that says .. Help, Registration Due ..
