Ok, finally have VIN, so I went to Ford tracking site (thanks to good folks on this forum) and did side by side comparison with my order sheet as well as original online build sheet. Frustration ensued. The VIN based listing does not call out specific packages (e.g. tremor, Lariet ultimate, trailer tow, etc), wtf? It calls out some specifics like block heater, tonneau cover, etc. But also show some things that I believe are part of the packages above, e.g. 35 inch off road tires, B &O sound system, tailgate step, etc.

My concern is specific line items aren't consistently represented accross all forms of configuration communication from me, the buyer, the salesman, the sales manager and the manufacturer. How did you folks verify Ford was indeed building the configuration you requested?

Thanks again for an insight.
Scott

Thank you.

I think I may put a spreadsheet together with all options comparing sources and then go back to dealer and review. Perhaps I am being a little anal, but for as much money as I am spending I want to get it right.

Seems overkill.

If the build sheet the dealer gave you is correct, just call them and ask them to confirm the build sheet matched the submitted order.

I think youre worrying a bit too much.

Let the Sales Manager handle it.

Ford usually pulls orders on Thursdays, from my experience about 2 weeks after VIN is generated you'll want to get on Fords Tracking site on a Friday and see if your truck has been "scheduled for production". It'll then provide you a link to your window sticker. At that time you'll want to review for any discrepancies.

Your truck will be scheduled for production for around 7-14 days then it'll go into production for a few days, then the site will show built. A day or two later you'll get shipping info and ETA to your dealer.

Til' then surf this forum and have drinks with @Iron Man in the evenings :)

There shouldn't be an inconsistencies but they are ordered differently and package components are listed out differently on the tracking vs the build and price. I saved my build and price and checked everything on the order tracking page. It was out of order but it matched perfectly.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I am a bit of a worry wort.

I also made a spreadsheet. It’ll help clear your brain and ensure confidence in your order.

Ok, for further clarification (getting old, I know), will I get access to window sticker prior to production and therefore afforded opportunity to make corrections?

No!

The sticker will be printed the day before production.

What is it that youve ordered that you think is missing?

No, for what it’s worth if you have the order sheet from your dealer, I’ve never heard of someone having a discrepancy between the two.

Clearance lights. Also, I don't see anything about spare tire.

The spare tire is standard on the truck so youre not going to see it listed as an option.

The clearance light ARE an option. If they are on your build sheet as mentioned above they are most likely there.

If you are not satisfied that they in fact are, the thing to do is reach out to the salesperson or manager and just ask them to confirm it was ordered with them.

I had the same worries as you - Mine only showed that they were building an F350 with maybe a few options - no Tremor package etc. Your salesman can pull up you order on Ford and show you everything that will be on your truck in detail if you are really worried.

Just another problem with Ford's order tracking system. As other members have said, as long as your order with the dealer has the listed options, you should not have any problems.

share the vin I can check for clearance lights

I received a print out upon placing the order. We ( salesman and I ) proof read it and found to be exactly the same as the truck on delivery day. No issues.
