Compressor for Airbags Install Location ‘24

I had planned to wait on airbags but decided to have them installed when my Carli kit is installed in two weeks.

Trying to determine where to install the compressor. I think I prefer underneath the truck, but I’m open to the truck bed on the side. Really don’t want it inside the cab, even if under the seat or behind the seat.

What have others done? If mounting on truck bed side wall, where are wires routed cleanly for power, air, etc…?
 
Looks like I may try to go above the spare tire well. Anyone know how well the dual ARB fits in that location? I’ve seen a pic of the single ARB mounted there. Long travel bags get installed Monday and then I’ll be installing the compressor later in the week

Originally, that is where mine was installed on my 2022 Tremor. No issues.

Another question, Carli states not to use a T fitting on their long travel airbags to a single output/solenoid.

So, if I wanted the option to have onboard air for the airbags, which requires a compressor with 2 outputs/solenoids to operate each air bag independently, and I also wanted onboard air for tires, I would need an additional compressor?

A dedicated airbag compressor will not be able to air up your tires. However, you can have two separate connections for each airbag with a schrader valve and then use a regular compressor to manually air up or down your airbags.

That's how I did it on my previous rig. On my new one I will have the ARB compressor again, but I am planning to use one of those smaller battery-powered pumps to adjust the airbags. The airbags will have dedicated connections. The small it pump is easier to store compared to having to get the hose out and connect it to the compressor. Plus the pump has the easy to use digital display.

I used one of these:https://a.co/d/590Bypk You also need an air tank with multiple ports to run air lines for different things and for a reserve to air up tires with. You only need one compressor if it will put out enough air. The ARB duel compressor will do the trick and is actually two compressors in one.
 
Another question, Carli advises no T Fitting, but got to thinking how account for a compressor failure. Currently have manual lines run to rear bumper. Would it be ok to tap into each line with a T fitting so line for the compressor and manual line for each side are plumbed? This way, if the compressor fails, I still have a manual option?

This is why you have a separate air tank to connect the air compressor to with a lead hose with a one-way check valve. I have my airbags connected separately and have a tee on each bag with one line running to the license plate bolt and the other to this valve https://a.co/d/590Byp. Again both bags have completely separate air sources.
