Does anyone know of some reputable aftermarket LED clearance lights? Thanks

Check out cab over America. https://caboveramerica.com/

Wireless, solar and no holes required
While it is a unique idea, I'm the guy that always loses remote controls. Never had much luck with solar lights lasting more than a couple of hours (if fully charged), plus with garage parking they would never be charged when I roll out at night. Then you roll out of your truck while walking away realizing you left them on and have to do the walk of shame back to the truck to search for the remote and shut them off. Cab lights are only a $95 MSRP option from the factory, no excuse not to just get them (if you want them) at time of order.

I just did the Recon smoked on mine. Working well and looks good.

I like the smoked, thinking about eventually changing out my lights for those.

Ditto. Looks a 1,000 times better than the stock clear ones with the sport package.

The recons look pretty nice. Although Im kinda with some of you guys about drilling holes in the roof... sketchy but im sure if done right should be fine. Ill have to check out the solars too. Seems interesting. Thanks

I personally avoid any additional holes in my roof at all cost.
Agreed. My 2016 actually ended up with a leak from my lights. I love the look, but wasn’t going to risk another water issue.

Agreed.

When it comes to remembering to turn them on and off I would think it wouldn’t be hard for them to offer a kit to tie in an automated switch to the truck’s wiring, avoiding the need for the remote the majority of the time.

When it gets power from the running lights circuit it sends the on signal to the wireless lights, when it loses power it sends the off signal. Capacitor could provide the temporary power needed to send that off signal.

Still not as reliable as hard-wired obviously, but presumably would be a lot better than turning them on and off manually. And doesn’t solve the problems around charging and battery life.

I bought my truck off the lot and prefer not to drill, so I am hoping for great technology advancements built into these puppies.

They are direct replacemeets, I did install cab lights in my 2005 f250. Used A hole punch, measure 20 times punch once......
The harness was in the roof on that truck.

I have the same ones. It looks so great with the black package. Nice choice. The only thing is, there was some discussion on another thread that somehow those interrupt the tire pressure monitoring system and cause it to go out temporarily. It seems to me that, that is the case. When I turn my lights on at night about 30 minutes into the drive my TPMS goes out.
