Here's what mine did Saturday. Had been driving around running errands for a while. Pulled into the driveway long enough just to run into the house to get something and then back to the truck...never even shut it off. Put it in reverse, backed out, put it in drive, and then the check engine light popped up. The Catalytic Converters are below an acceptable lever??? Really??? Here's the pics for it...

Went to the dealer with it Monday morning and they are booked up for a week...mind you I already have had the weekend from HELL here...The 2011 F250 front left hub is acting up...probably gonna have to replace it. Knew that was coming so it had been at the dealer for a week or so already...no hurry, right???...lol Friday she takes the 2015 Taurus for the 150 mile weekly joyride and gets about 3/4 of the way through that and calls me at work telling me that it started running rough and the CEL came on, pulled into Sonic, shut it off, and then it wouldn't start again. It would fire, start for a couple seconds and die. So there's a $300 tow bill, no biggie, insurance will reimburse me for that. Looks like the fuel pump went out...lol The 2011 F250 is at least drivable for now, so I left the car and drove that home. Then low and behold after the CEL being on all weekend, I get in the Tremor Tuesday morning headed to work and magically the CEL has vanished...POOF, The BLUE OVAL GOD HAS HEALED YOU....lol

And to top that all off the A/C goes out at the house at 3am Monday morning. Luckily it was only the capacitor, and the repair tech was there by 8am and had it fixed in 15 minutes...lol But that was another $165 for that.

I am seriously done ADULTING for at least a week!!!!!!

Ha, been there with the AC, Tech quotes $285. spends 5 minutes putting in the new capacitor, drives off and then my neighbor comes over and says saw the AC guy over here and precedes to tell he had same issues, went down to the local electronics store and bought the part for $15. and screwed it in himself. I'm like why didnt you walk over when you saw him here and I coulda said no to $285.?

This one told me to get the part number off the capacitor and order a spare off ebay for about that much....lol

Okay folks, here's the update. According to the dealer it threw a code on both catalytic converters, so not they want to order two new ones...all under warranty of course, but I'm still not liking this. I mean first off the light went off on it's own, and second they will have to cut my exhaust, and third it's a brand new vehicle.... Side note is the dealer made a comment about it may take a while to get them if they're on back order...imagine that....

Given the number of potential causes and contributing factors for this code, I’d not want them to be arbitrarily replacing parts.

Makes ya wonder what stealerships do with all of these expensive parts they rip out without even knowing that they’re faulty. ?‍
