I recently ordered the 3.5" Backcountry with full leaf spring replacements. I got 4 estimates for install:

1. Ford Dealer = $2,000
2. Offroad/Fab Shop = $1,500 (16 hours)
3. Spokane WA diesel shop = $1,800 (10-12 hours)
4. Local tire shop = $700 (7 hours)

How much have others paid to have their lifts installed? For those who did it themselves - that's amazing to me. I wouldn't even know what tools to buy.

Is the lift covered under the factory warranty if installed by the dealershi?

I have found that the off-road shops are more familiar with lifting a truck, and do a better job. I also tried the tire store route and had multiple issues. What shops in Spokane are you considering?

Diesel Power Products. I think you’re right about off road shops. I’m not sure the tire shops 6 hour estimate is real accurate.

Did the shop in Spokane sound pretty familiar with it? I live in western Washington and generally have had pretty bad luck with shops.

They did. I emailed with questions and they got back to me with detailed answers indicating they were familiar and comfortable installing Carli set ups.

Good to know! You’ll have to reply to this once the install is done and let me know the difference and if it’s worth it. Do you have a list of all the options you selected?

I had the 3.5" level with kings and full deavers installed at my local offroad shop for $1,200.

I don't have plans to do this, but if I did I would def go with an offroad shop.

I don't trust the dealers to do anything other than warranty work and oil changes. And tbh I don't even really trust them to do that.

The super low price of the tire shop would scare me. Off road shops that sell and install lift kits every day probably will do the best job and will probably warranty their work.
