I was at the ford dealer and the manager changed the price on the quote I received from the salesman. He told me he was not going to let my truck go for the quoted price . I asked him why and he told me his dealership only is allow to sell 3 tremors a year so he is not going to let it go for the price I was quoted . This sound like a big bullshit story, but before I return to this dealership I want to get my facts straight. Any advice or information would be helpful

The market is very tight right now and the dynamic of supply and demand still applies.
The dealer does not have to participate in promotional pricing. Sounds like a very small dealership with no real plans for growth. I wouldn't get into a tit for tat dispute in any way. Just move on to another dealership. Do a little research and find a dealership that's still willing to work with customers, there's a big difference from one dealer to another.

BTW welcome to the forum. There's a wealth of info here so search widely and learn all you can. ?

I got one a couple weeks back in western Washington. Most the dealerships I visited had at least a 5k upcharge from MSRP on the tremors. I kept looking further away from home and eventually found one willing to sell at MSRP. I had to drive an hour to pick it up, but otherwise I am satisfied I did not pay more than MSRP. My advise would be to expand your dealer search if you don't want to pay that extra cash.

to redzilla and mechanized.manley thank you for the response . I will learn from both . The issue I deal with is what ever the price may be all I want is the dealer to be honest . never should we be lied to. this is a wonderful site and if a salesman or a dealership is treating us like fools posting our experience and the names of the dishonest is a powerful way to get the word out . This should make them think twice before being deceitful . Best to all of the tremor family and their loved ones !

It truly is amazing in this day and age to have dealers that still use old school sales techniques, but the reality is there are still many cutthroat salesmen and even dealerships in the auto world. Use the tools at your disposal and support the dealers that shoot straight and work with you as an adult.

To your advantage you have joined a great truck enthusiasts group when you sign on to the Tremor Forum. You won't find a better bunch of guys and gals to associate with and to seek and share advice and ideas. One thing we are good at is frankness and honest answers. That can stir up feelings occasionally, but as someone else said before me, that also makes this group all the more like a family. If you have an idea or question, just throw it out there. It's probably been discussed so we can direct you to good answers and honest debate. ?

Welcome aboard manley! It's nice to see new folks jump right in with advice and general participation. Hope you find the Forum a great place to hang out. BTW be prepared to step up your resistance to impulse buying. This place is awash with ideas for mods and accessories that can put a strain on the budget and relationship with the better half if you aren't careful. ;) ?

Ok so while I am waiting for my new 2022 tremor , I am already thinking about things I would like to do . Being my 2010 king Ranch is rusting quickly, I am happy my new Tremor body will be aluminum . I have had undercoating done on other vehicles in the past but did not like how it covered everything , like electrical connections , brake line fittings or others areas that would need servicing down the road . It always made servicing these coated sections a hassle . I do like to work on my own trucks . I was thinking about undercoating the truck myself so I could regulate the areas of application and the areas that would need to be disassembled at some point just spray with black rustoleum or possibly por15. Has anyone else come across this situation or has ideas about protecting the undercarriage against rust?
