Brightness greyed out in display settings

My display is too dim during the day and too bright at night. I get in and just have to adjust it with the buttons to the left of the steering wheel next to the headlight selector. The “mode” option gives me auto/day/night, but that just changes the color from the white day to the blue night. All 3 options leave the “brightness” dimmed, and I don’t have an “auto dim” option below the “mode” line that I’ve seen on some Sync 3 screens.

Id guess you cant modify it because you are in the "Auto" Setting.

Try maybe setting that to manual then it may allow you to adjust.

Theres a couple posts on the ford truck entuasissts forum under 2017 and up Super dutys. Same problem and theres a contact at Ford to complain too.
