Nice clean looking job.No more fumbling for the heater cord when it’s-20View attachment 17099View attachment 17100
It comes with self taping screws but I chose to use machine screws with nylock nuts instead. Had to shave off a little bit of plastic behind the cover so the plug would fit. If you’re wondering how to remove the tow hook bezel, just grab and pullYes that’s theone
Works like a normal extension cord when not using the app. The app is for setting up a timer.Nice install. I'm trying to decide if I want to install that one or the magnetic one. I like the idea of the magnetic if you forget to unhook it and drive away (although I never have) and the ease of connection... just wish it was just the cable instead of having been built with an app as it makes it more expensive and likely less reliable.
Sort of. I guess I shouldn't have worded it to blame it all on the app...Works like a normal extension cord when not using the app. The app is for setting up a timer.
I take a lot of reviews with a grain of salt. There are a lot of dumb people out there. Likely the magnet isn’t their issue all it does is hold it together. Dirty contacts or some other obstruction would be the likely issues.Sort of. I guess I shouldn't have worded it to blame it all on the app...
Don't know much about but it sounds like it is still a smart device in that it doesn't allow the power to flow unless the magnets connect perfectly. I'm finding some reviews that say the cord won't connect if it's too cold which makes it unreliable in truly cold weather when you need it the most. It's still quite new so may be best to wait until the bugs are worked out.
But that's the problem as the magnet doesn't just 'hold it together', the device controls the power, It has a bunch of safety crap built into it to keep idiots from electrocuting themselves. I wish it was a simple magnetic connection.I take a lot of reviews with a grain of salt. There are a lot of dumb people out there. Likely the magnet isn’t their issue all it does is hold it together. But I’m just guessing as I don’t have one.
I ordered mine today with the American Gear Shackles in Black with the Black isolators. Amazon has a note due to weather conditions your order may take longer to arrive.Looks like it's available on Amazon.

Have you had and experience driving with this set up in the slush / snow? I'm wondering if the inside of the socket gets packed with water/ice/snow? Is the plug cover pretty decent rubber where it makes a good seal?
I installed one of those on my pontoon boat for the onboard charger a few years back. It worked like a charm. Just ordered one from Amazon for the pending Tremor. Thanks for the post!No more fumbling for the heater cord when it’s-20View attachment 17099View attachment 17100
I bought and installed 2 of them because you showed it to us. Thank you! One for the block heater and one from the future dual battery maintainer. No more fumbling for the heater cord when it’s-20View attachment 17099View attachment 17100
