Is it just my set or have a lot of you had issues with your bed tie down cleats fitting the slots in the bed, all 4 in my set don’t fit and can’t slide the cleats up all the way. Seems like they need to be grinded down some to fit. Any suggestions or ideas?

They are tight but always fit. I used to have to install them on every truck I sold. Try putting them in, rocking them side to side while applying upwards and outwards pressure. They will get in!

If all else fails just spit on it! Lol

They are very "snug!" Mine needed a little encouragement to lock in. Some have used rubber or dead-blow mallets to get their seated. Make sure the lock is not blocking and work it in to place...they'll go.

There is a thread on this, normal issue they fit but tight!!!!!

Yes they totally suck to get in. I used a rubber mallet and a box cutter to get the fit. Some have used a grinder as well. I found when I hammed it in a bit then removed there was a bit of redundant plastic that I cut down with the box cutter. that should do the trick. Don't forget your leather gloves with the box cutter, it will save you a trip to the urgent care.

I hope never to remove mine.

Mine did not go in at all. I used a grinder to shave the small nub inside so they could slide in and even then they needed some persuasion.
