So I had my truck in the ford shop again for driver side knuckles seal failure with 2-3 months of the last replacement . And while it’s been there for about a week and for no apparent reason other than let’s see if my my truck is still worth big dollars to get rid of, I’ve decided to go ahead and get an appraisal for the truck. My mistake!!! I didn’t pull my Banks Pedal Monster off. Thinking it’s not going to be a big deal when I originally brought my truck in for warranty work. The shop work on my trucks a few time and never really cared about the pedal monster. Although they try to say something once about my S&S disaster prevention kit. Until they realize it was nothing more than an additional filter connected to the mostly stock fuel system. Anywho the dealership side however was a no go with the pedal monster. Because it’s essentially a “tuner” I got a phone call from one of the rep saying that the appraiser noticed I had a tuner and cannot appraise my truck plus now my truck has been flagged in their system so I can’t even trade it in if I wanted too in the future. I’m sure most of you already know better to be safe than sorry and to disconnect any upgrade that can be questionable but just a word of caution to the rest of us out there who thinks differently. Make sure to remove your banks pedal monster before bringing your vehicle in for repairs. Yes I know even inside the banks box itself there’s a note stating to remove before bringing it in. Oh well lesson learned and lucky this truck is still a truck I enjoyed driving daily.

I’ve never taken mine off when in for service. I left it on my past tundras as well at Toyota. No one has ever said anything. I guess it all depends on the dealership. I haven’t reinstalled it on my ‘22 yet. I do change the settings to stock mode though.

Thanks for the heads up, that is frustrating, I am sorry buddy

A tuner? 😂😂😂…the pedal monster isn’t anything close to a tuner and DOESNT void any warranty. I’ve never disconnected my pedal monster prior to a service or even switched back to stock setting…sorry this happened. Oh well just disconnect and re take it in. The banks pedal monster leaves zero trace of ever being connected.
