So my last 2 trucks have had Bakflips.
2011 F150 Tri-fold with aluminum panels
2016 F250 quad fold with aluminum bottom panels and fiberglass top.

Both had been pretty solid covers. Much preferred the trifold but the f150 bed was obviously shorter.

They are pretty great covers very versatile but i have some complaints some of which are maybe resolved by the mx4.
1. Fiberglass panels faded... maybe resolved w/ mx4
2. F250 quad fold is so damn heavy. Makes it pretty awkward when i need to remove from truck and even once you've folded a couple sections open.
3. Underside of cover is easily dented with something that is in bed is tall. resolved?
4. Rear seal, can't close or open tailgate without opening cover. Resolved by mx4. -gamechanger!
5. Not completely waterproof, but close enough form my needs probably.

I'm always carrying building materials or quads or other random small and large items. I need a cover that I can take completely off by myself to fit my quad. ( i can do this with my current backflip but its heavy)
Is the mx4 a considerable improvement? Is it any lighter?

Any other covers that i should consider?

Thanks guys!

so i have this one on my F150 and love it... it is hard but rolls up and light enough that i can take it off and it is just sliding two locks NO TOOLS required to remove it thats my favorite part

Interesting. I like the ability to remove it quickly and easily.

Did it stay pretty water tight?

I am in the market for a new cover as well. I had a Tuxedo Pro X15 in my F150 and it would leak some water into the bed. Does your Sentry CT leak at all? What does it look like rolled up can you send a pic?

I have had it for 6 months now and I have never had water in the bed ... It is Velcro on the sides but have normal like window gasket on the front by the back window and by the end of the bed by the tail gate ... I wants a easy removable cover that was hard but didn't block the back window for line of sight and it checks all the boxes and I got it from American trucks as a open box deal and saved $300 but it was missing a gasket ... For the tailgate but I haven't had any issues

I will when I get home

Ok here is alot of pictures hahaha
Shows rolled out, rolled up, back window view, the locking device, the Velcro, showing trying to pull up on the cover when closed and the tailgate is locked and because it is hard it is not easy to pull up with out opening it the right way

I had the same questions not long ago. I ended up going with the Lomax cover, and glad that I did so far. I am able to complete remove (awkward and a bit heavy) it when I need to haul an atv, or use my gooseneck.

I also have the Centry CT. It is still pretty heavy I think 70LBS ish but with a rope way easier to remove than the Back F2 I had on the 5.5’ box on my F150. It is pretty water tight, but need to open cover a little before closing gate to get a better seal. You can close the gate with the cover closed but doesn’t make a good seal, see last pic. I do get some water in from the tailgate but have not added the tailgate seal yet. There are a couple of discount sites that will sell at a much better price and will drop ship from the factory.

Had the MX4 on my Raptor. Top surface definitely fades in the sun. I opted to go the Retrax route this time as I like being able to access the full bed without the rear window being blocked. Plus having the option of using above bed racks is pretty nice. Not cheap though.

If I was to buy a bed cover, I think the Peragon would be at the top of my list.
Looks problematic if you want to open or close with items in the bed. I suspect it would be just like my kitchen drawer that the wife and kids stuff so much junk in that the spoon on top jams it so it won't open or shut.

When I got my Raptor, I was looking at this cover until my buddy got it. He hated it!! The cover opens by pushing down on the panel just aft of the bed. Then it fold up together. He showed me that when items would shift towards the cab side of the bed, the items would prevent him from pushing down to open the cover. He had to crawl in and move the items to open the cover. He quickly got a Bakflip. So I got one also and I’ve been using Bakflip for probably 5 years.... I love the Bakflip.... I got the G2 because I don’t need the 400 lb cover rating.....

So i just ordered the Sentry CT for my Tremor got it on sale for $600 gets here tomorrow... will see how good it is on the tremor it was great on the F150

I like it on mine, really fast to remove. Just need to make sure to keep the little one off it. He has got loose on it a couple of times and it acts like a trampoline but hasn’t broke with him jumping around on it.

You got a great deal, with $960 retail. Who did you order through?

Hahaha I can't have kids... Thanks to the army but I love it on my f150 and I want it easy to remove when I do a gooseneck ...
Amazon warehouse deal ... Box was damaged

I would buy a Diamondback HD, and drop this backflip, if it weren't for the gooseneck hitch
