This is probably a silly question but I’m wondering if installation of this lightbar requires any kind of drilling or cutting. Thanks for the info.

Cutting of the plastic pieces that cover the holes you use to mount; that's it. Other than that, it's all bolt
So, there are not bolt holes that have to be drilled into the top of the bumper?

Would you happen to have a closeup of the mounting area? Thanx in advance... Also, to confirm, you lose about 40-50% of your viewable area on your front camera, is that accurate?

I ordered the revised set 6 weeks ago (at the time was told 6-8 week lead time). Called yesterday to follow up and was informed of an additional 6 week wait from my spot in the order queue

Can anyone provide a link to the revised set? I don't know the difference between the two, and I've been trying to find more information.

I ordered through Alternative Off-road. Not sure if they have it listed yet, but it started off with me ordering the "original" around the same time they started the redesign, so my order was changed by them for the redesign. Might need to give them (or whichever supplier chosen) a call to check.

I figured I'd use Nick, simply because I like giving money to those who are active on these forums, but the PM thing doesn't really work for me, so I'm going to need to give him a call. I've been holding back on my purchase because of the redesign, in the hopes that the plastic trim is handled differently with the new solution. I don't prefer the look of that section being removed and their workaround recommendation using velcro to reattach the trim seems like a rather shit solution.

Anyway... Eight weeks out?

Damn.

I've got a trip to Idaho that the truck needs to be ready for, and that's only 12 weeks from now... Remember when things were just available when you wanted them?

I liked that better.

Yeah. Crazy times we're in. Even before, with things like a redesign happening, you'd see the product pretty close to the estimated time. But my 6-8 weeks is turning into 12 weeks total now (for now...). The person I spoke with also mentioned that Baja is running into material/commodity issues. Working in fabrication, I've seen firsthand the hikes in prices and lead times. Fortunately for my situation, I don't NEED them, just a "want" at the moment.

I took advantage of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals Nick was offering and order a few things from him yesterday, the XL linkable kit being one of the items.

I would highly encourage you to call Nick. He was extremely helpful (and patient) as I walked through what I wanted and essentially helped me put together a custom order for a few of the items. What he had in stock shipped last night and is scheduled to arrive this week.

I ordered a Retrax cover from him a few weeks ago and service was the same, first class. If there is something for the truck that I need and Nick sells it, I plan on getting it from him.

@Nick@ApolloOptics - Any input on this by chance? Thanx

I spoke with the guys at Baja Designs about this a few times, and it's just to correct some minor fitment issues. Their explanation was that it was not going to impact camera visibility or anything like that. I was repeatedly told just a minor fitment issue.

I appreciate your reaching out, man. I'm glad we could get you dialed in! 8 weeks is going to get worse. Certain components for certain Baja Designs product lines are now 12-14 weeks out.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate that, brother. Thank you very much!

From the instructions, Step 1 requires the removal of the center dam. I assume to access the hardware that attaches the mounting plate to the bumper. I have a winch in that location. Anyone run that has a winch, have you run into issues installing these lights?
Would like to know this as well.

I'd imagine you're going to have to remove the bumper in order to get access.
I'm spitballing here, but looking at the install, the winch mounts look like they would be in the way.

You have to cut the plastic trim piece. I made sure I cut it just above the curve. I couldn't send you pictures via dm @FireFighter200 .

Does anyone have a picture of the light bar on at night compared to the stock lights?
