Hey Guys,
Im in the process of looking at audio upgrades, and I personally use all the underseat storage. Anyone done any sub upgrades in the factory spot? If so, do you know what the maximum size that can fit is?

Thanks
Tyrel

Yea mine is a 2012 ... The stock sucks upgraded to rockford fosgate which was day and night but the tremor is much clearer and more bass and sound in songs then my f150 ... I am happy with it but interested to know what every else upgrades too

I had a full system in my Raptor before this truck and soon as i had the system installed i started to miss my under seat storage. In this truck i told myself i would not put a subwoofer box under the seat again. Extra Storage is to nice. But Subs under the rear seat is the only way to go if you want really loud feeling it type bass. In my opinion the factory B&O tremor system sounds good but it doesn't get loud enough for me. I usually have it on 30 maxed out often. But my hearing isn't the greatest also. Also the factory door speakers to me are not worth replacing unless you are going to add a aftermarket 4 channel amplifier to them to really take advantage of the better speakers. I'm currently looking for a factory location sub replacement now so i don't have to give up any storage but i haven't found a good worth while solution yet. Probably will have to go custom box in the factory sub location. If you don't wanna spend a bunch of money(modding is a slippery slope) just turn your factory B&O stereo up to 30 and don't roll down your windows and enjoy.

Get this below and then add a 4 channel amplifier and then upgrade your factory door speakers

THis is a option but not really sure how loud it gets. probably not much louder then the factory sub&amp.

I have this for sale(Custom Box and Subs)(the best of the best) from my raptor if you want really loud bass and don't mind loosing under seat storage. Requires 2.5" seat lift.

I too find that it’s just not loud enough, once my ears get used to the volume, and I’m driving.

I think the biggest issue is that Bluetooth and CarPlay audio seems to have the gain turned down. With those sources, there seems to be no difference between volume level 25 and 30. The built in sources are much louder (XM & FM/HD radio.). I’ve searched high and low for a solution, but I can’t find anything that pertains to this specific issue.

What wow... I use Spotify and android auto and 14 is what I use ...

The factory door speakers are like 25 watts and the factory amplifier isn't much. When i had different door speakers and a 4 channel amp my highs would scream. And yea volume level 25-30 sounds about the same on my radio also. To me the factory has a great sound just doesn't get loud enough for me.

I agree on 25 to 30 to get any type of good bass sound. It’s just so-so...??‍♂️

Too bad forscan can’t help?

I am super disappointed with the audio in my truck. It is like I had in my cars 30 years ago. (cheap and low quality) I am kind of sensitive for the audio in my cars/trucks, I am keeping an old SUV just because it has the best audio I ever heard in any car.
So looking for an upgrade definitely. I will go to the local shop tomorrow to see what they can figure. I went to the dealership a week ago and requested to check out the audio, what's wrong with it and they said they compared it to another truck's audio and they said they were the same. Ford.com says it has an amp up to 1000W. I was thinking to check this out by the dealership but the guy was not on the top.
Did anyone upgrade using the stuff on mtiacoustic.com? If so, what is the result?
