Apps and screen modifications

Are we able to customize the screen on the new 2022 Tremors? Also, can we add apps to the screen? My Dodge had an app that showed radar weather that I really liked. I have the large screen and use an IPhone.

If you have the 12" Sync 4 there is weather radar in the navigation app.

It is there but I had to search for it nested down a few menu selections. I'm not near my truck but can give you the exact location in a little while...

Try this @Ragnar -- when the map is displayed click the tools button and see if there is a weather button. Or try voice and ask for the weather. I'm told that Ford finally ditched the SiriusXM travel link based weather and traffic information and are now using the built in modem to provide this information. If true, I'd expect Ford to try to monetize this in the future.

I'm not renewing my nav subscription after the free period so I'm guessing that eliminates the weather map also.

I was just messing with this last night. I came to the same conclusion as Modman. It’s nested a few layers in under settings. In my Raptor, this was under something called Travelink which I thought was a product of Sirius Radio. That doesn’t appear to be the case anymore.

@Skidude555 exactly what I was looking for too! I guess it is a whole new game with sync4.

I found mine awhile ago and came to the quick conclusion that it is buried so deep that I won't really ever use it. Just look out the window I guess or use my phone

Hmm ... No ... Here is Maryland the weather is bipolar as hell ... Like no shit is can be sunny where I work ... And 30 miles away at my house it can be raining so bad that it can be flooding ... Had happened 3 times this year and the snow .... It always fucked up 1 inch here 3 miles down the road you have a foot a snow

Actually sync 3 has this as well in travel link. It gets its radar data from satellites so its nice when there is no cell service. How does sync 4 get the data?

@thevol this was mentioned above. Unless you pay the ongoing cost for Ford Connected Navigation we are expecting this will go away vs. inclusion in the Sirius Travelink package... It's too bad but not the end of the world for me.

I did find it after setting up my Ford Pass. Your right in that it is buried way to deep to make it really useful which is too bad as I like to know when it will be 30 below zero here in Minnesota. The head out the window feature does not work very well with a windchill of minus 30.
