I can't make it into the dealership till Tuesday but Im hoping to get my truck ordered then. As a Ford stock owner I know I can get X plan pricing. From what I have read on this forum it seems X plan pricing is about the same as invoice. Is that true from your experience's? If I could get my truck for $1500 under invoice Im ready to place my order Tuesday. In your opinion is that realistic right now given the demand for Super Duty's and the fact that its a new model year? Also still can't decide on what color. If this truck wasn't going to be a daily driver I would be ordering a black Tremor. Right now im leaning towards iconic silver but rapid red looks really nice Im just not sure if that's also a color like black that won't hide the dirt very well. I also like Carbonized but that to seems like a vehicle that would be a struggle to keep looking clean. I live in Wisconsin and this will be my daily driver. Summer time is no problem giving it a bath I prefer to hand wash my vehicles though so during the winter is a different story. Any chance they will bring back and color or offer any new colors other than the new atlas blue? ( I think that's what they called it) I think if they brought the Silver spruce back I would just pick that color.

X-Plan is a formula. Invoice times .996 plus $275. The X-plan price on any truck with an invoice price greater than $69,000 is going to be less than invoice. $1500 below invoice would be a very good deal; I would not think that would be a very realistic target price in the current environment.

I ordered a 2021 about a month ago. When news broke about the 22 having the 12 inch screen with sync 4, I called the dealer right away and told them I didn't want the 21 anymore and want to order a 22. I am heading there today to order hopefully. I also have x-plan pricing. Having all the cameras on my truck, it's going to be a big difference with that larger screen. I struggle seeing anyway, so the bigger screen was the selling point for me.

I have a 2021 in production after 3 months. Curious if I should just wait for the screen? When do they actually start production?

I have been waiting for Ford to update the interior also. Im really glad 2022 was the year because im tired of waiting. I really liked the body style but wanted them to update the inside along the lines of the 150. Once they announced the updated interior I knew I was finally going to get my new truck. Super stoked. Im actually going to go into my local dealership today after work and if they can come up with a price I cant say no to ill be ordering today and cancel my appointment I have tomorrow at another local dealer.

I'm waiting for the Dealer to call me this morning to come in and place order for a 2022 with Xplan

It is just CRAZY to me that I bought my 2020 off the lot in September and as I am rolling over 6 months and 10k miles you guys are talking about ordering a 2022 model!

They basically cut the 21MY production run in half.

the cameras suck, so the screen won’t help. My backup camera on the 17 is practically worthless hooking up a trailer until I am right under the hitch. And even then is depends on the lighting, the camera gathers very little light

Keep in mind the update is only the infotainment center. None of the other F150 updates are included on the MY22 super duties. Personally I'm more interested in the other interior updates, like the seats and the center console.

I’m still very close to canceling my order since I wouldn’t mind the bigger screen. I was told 8-10 weeks for my order. I’m at 15 weeks now with truck not built yet. So I might play the give me a discount on the 21 or I’m going to go to another dealer for a 22. Only reason I was considering this is would be my first brand new car around 90k fully optioned and I plan on keeping it for awhile. However I would want to know if they will actually start production in June...

They already have a buyer for your order if you pass, you will loose that gamble and my gut says you won't get a MY22 for at least 6 months. Mine is schedule for production. I'll be keeping it for no less than 3 years and than when the super duties are fully redesigned I'll make a trade, or decide to keep this one for 15 years like I normally do my vehicles.

I’m afraid they will ruin the design and go with a more round style truck as these other auto makers are doing. A perfect example is how square the mustangs used to be and now they look round and soft. So if I gambled on the 2023/24 and it was rounded I would be a little upset as I like the 17-22 body style. But yea I might end up going with the 21 I had ordered. The dealer is in a pretty low income area and doesn’t get many expensive trucks as they don’t sell. So I might be able to get lucky and get a few 1000$ off.

I agree completely. That's why I'm accepting the truck I've ordered. I'm in the position where I don't feel I can wait another 6 months or more just for a wider screen (current truck is on it's last leg). For me the truck as is will satisfy 100% even for the long haul and if the MY24 is acceptable and I feel the need, I trade if it's that good or I let it go and keep my dream truck. This one will easily last until I'm 75 if I take as good of care of it as I have my other vehicles. I can only hope to see 75 anyway. Good luck with the dealer, you may get lucky.

If the bigger screen is the main appeal. It seems people are happy with the Linkswell.

I hope someone will figure out a sync4 upgrade path.

X-Plan all day long. Dealer's generally don't love it because of small grosses and the "minis" they pay their Sales Consultants (i.e. $50-$200 dollars total). Ford will pay the dealer - but not much. Take X Plan, don't let another dealer talk you out of it (they'll make up the gross elsewhere & not follow the Ford rules for doc fees, etc.). X-Plan is a great deal on a Tremor.

No shit...I got my 2021 in fucking January of 2021 and here everyone is ordering a 2022 lol.

I'm fine with it though. Nothing overly exciting in the 2022 change. A bigger screen would be nice, but not a huge deal to me. Def not worth waiting for anyway.

I love my '20. Couldn't be happier. Time for me to get off the order merry-go-round. Taxes and fees eat you alive. Plus the F-Series platform is very stable from year to year. Bells and whistles change - no big deal.

I wish Linkswell would make a model that retains physical buttons for climate. I hate trying to navigate touch screens for stuff like that.
