Ordered 2022 AMB 7.3L Tremor 3/16
I placed an order for a 2022 Lariat Tremor with the new Baja Tan and am debating if I need to change it for the black leather.

I've had tan cloth in the past and it's always held up well. I really appreciate how the lighter interiors make it feel more spacious. I was trying to avoid an all black interior, especially since I'm going with such a dark exterior (anitmatter blue); however I've seen a few mentions of the tan leather staining more easily, especially with blue jeans. It looks like the 2022 baja tan version has black seatbelts (tan seatbelts get grimy over the years) and is a bit darker than the camel tan.

For those with tan leather interiors - how have they held up? Would you buy tan leather again?

I have tan leather in my car, and I've never had a problem with blue jeans staining the seats.......HOWEVER........I don't wear new jeans without washing them first at least once........so that does its part to pull out the extra dye before I wear them.

Never had a problem with acid washed or faded jeans no matter blue or black.

I'm trying to avoid black interior in my new truck as well, but as soon as you pick the Lariat black pkg, it defaults to black interior. So I'll probably be stuck with black....but.....I do plan to put gray sheep skin covers over them if I have to go that route.

I have had both........won't go back to tan, but that's my personnel preference. Blue jeans will leave marks but.....I'm extremely particular, so it just meant a little more cleaning.

Thanks for the insight. Do you feel cleaning is more difficult / frequent with the tan leather?

I love the look of the Lariat Black Package but I spend way too much time on gravel roads to have a painted bumper. I'd lose my mind with the inevitable paint chips.

I don't think so......but I also keep after the leather and take care of it probably more than most people. There is a great leather conditioner that I've used on aircraft for years that keeps the leather soft buy not oily like some of the products. They also make a leather cleaner that works really well.

Conditioner:

Cleaner:

Tire/rubber care: This stuff works great because it makes your tires black without being super shiny and isn't super oily and sling everywhere like most tire/rubber products.

They make other products as well like wash soaps, etc. that are good.

That will look stunning! Love it!
I have tan cloth on my race red and I believe it looks amazing. The contrast and color yours will pop! If you want the look of any ol $5k Honda go blue/black.

As for the leather holding up I’ve never heard complaints. Nor have I heard of Jean colors bleeding on to the leather.

Awesome! Thanks for the aero-grade product links!! I've always avoided tire dressings because the only ones I've tried have been very oily.

This video says there is markings though I can’t see it on my phone. Haha.

Thanks Richtor. Love that tan and race red look! That combo is the best pairing of tan I've been able to see pics of so far. I really wanted the tan cloth and was planning on getting an XLT up until last week when I found out there was no option to get Sync 4 on the XLT. The Sync 4, my previous desire to upgrade to LEDs and wrapped steering wheel, forced my hand to order a Lariat. I'd prefer not to have leather.

This is what it looks like on my F150 tire....not glossy at all.....more of a satin finish.

yeah.....I don't know why they don't offer the choice of cloth in the Lariat, because I would go with the tan cloth over the leather.

I wanted the $1,600 led option but to get them with the Lariat would have been an $6k upgrade. Haha.

So I purchased the LED bulbs instead. The reason I ordered is I can’t stand gray int. I can live with black but love interiors with color. Tan, red, blue, cocoa.....

Had Tan in my ‘16 F150 and it still looks new.
I say ‘had’ because my Tremor is supposed to
be here in 2 weeks.
I put Meguiar’s Leather Care on every 6 months.

We have always preferred the lighter interiors, just our preferences. Mainly don't like how hot black is in the summer and every speck of dust shows against black. Tan has always held up ok for us but it definitely shows wear sooner than black does. Never had too much trouble with staining but the seat belt straps to get dirty. Steering wheel also needs regular cleaning.
