Funny you post this. Just left my dealer. So I was told by service this piece is there to prevent scratching. He said “since truck is so heavy that it shifts when the truck undulates”. Thought that wa some Bs answer but now seeing yours there maybe he is right. ?Hello!
Did y’all remove the plastic between the center console and dash or does it serve a purpose? I tried removing the piece on passenger side, but it didn’t want to come out really easy. Pic attached.
Thanks in advance
Least yours looks clear. They used blue plastic for me and let’s just stay is stands out a bit ?Hello!

Did the same on mine on the passenger side. It is much less obvious on the driver side so left it alone. It’s horrible looking. On my 2017 I pushed the panel back as far as I could and used a razor to cut it. Had to do the same on my 2021. I assume my 2022 will the the same.

Correct. It’s a UHMW tape. That’s a pretty poor assembly placement though. It’s there to minimize noise from the two pieces rubbing together.
