I replaced my Tremor suspension recently and left the old suspension at the off-road shop. I can't decide if I want to keep it, which would be cumbersome, try and sell it, which seems hard, or let the shop keep it. Any thoughts or ideas?

Don't really know why you would keep it permanently, so I would rule that option out right away. Seems like they would take up space with no use.

As for trying to sell it yourself or just leaving it for the shop, that's a toss-up. Depends how much your time is worth to you, how much time you figure it will take to sell them yourself, and how much you’ll get for them.

I personally am not a huge fan of selling things on Craigslist or such, so I lean towards leaving it with the shop. But if you don’t mind it, selling them could be a way to get back some of what you spent on the new bits.

When I lifted my tundra I kept the old suspension parts for some reason. Lo and behold Toyota bought it back under Illinois lemon law. Any non-Toyota part I would’ve lost compensation in the buyback. So the dealer took off my icon suspension and put back on the stock. I then sold the icon suspension to the vice president of the dealership for his tundra. At least I made a few thousand off it instead of throwing it away with my buyback. You never know when you’re gonna need it. Even if you have to send in the new shocks for service you can throw the old ones back on.

Thanks all. This is good stuff. I’m going to quit being lazy and try selling it locally. If it doesn’t sell, I’ll keep the shocks as backup.

Eventually the aftermarket shocks will have to be rebuilt. Consider keeping the tremor shocks so your truck isn't out of service when the aftermarkets are being rebuilt
I put them on FB. If they don’t sell, that’s what I’m gonna do.
