This is driving me nuts. At slow speed, like parking lot or driveway speed I get a rattle / knocking noise behind the driver. Never hear it even on bumps at highway speed. All it takes is small bumps and uneven surface to initiate it. From drivers seat it sounds like it comes from behind the rear set back area. Anybody else have this or had it and corrected it? Basically been doing it since new and noe has 9500 miles. Help a brother out.

I had something similar in my 17 and it was a piece of rubber that had come loose between the cab and the bed.

I have as well but I have my kids car seats in the back and just figured it was those and didn’t investigate further. I have noticed what you are describing so might be something in the truck.

I have a slight rattle as well, but to me it sounds like its under the dash on the drivers side. I crawled under there to see if it was a loose wiring harness or something but everything looks secured. Same thing though, it only happens going slower over some choppy bumps.

Think I found my root cause.. I have the Husky liners over the carpet delete. If I tap the liner standing outside the truck it replicates the same noise and also would make me believe it's coming from behind the dash because it makes the noise behind the pedals.

Found the rattle! It’s a loose bolt on the battery box. The washer rattles when I even shut the door.

I had a similar rattle F150......turned out to be a plastic buckle on my tonneau hitting the back window

2 things, make sure seatbelt is not twisted. It will rattle if not slung properly. It happens every time after someone rides in the back. I also have had 2 rattles develop behind me shortly after purchasing. After tracing them down, I found the first one was the zipper for the bottom seat cover on driver's side had not been tucked in correctly like the passenger side and was rattling on the seat frame. The second, was I found one of the attachment points for the cable that operates the sliding rear window had not been attached at the factory. The clip was still on the cable and I could tell it was never installed into the back cab wall at the factory. Pain in the ass to get to, but fixed the problem.

Already checked seat belt. I'll look into that cable. Thanks

Push on the dash panel under your steering wheel when it does it. Mine was loose.

Well we have finally had some nice weather and I worked on the rattle. Come to found out it is the left rear door rattling on the striker. Door has a opened and closed fine and fits well but the striker was a bit too high and would continually knock on the latch. Adjusted and lubed the latch, all is good. While driving I would have thought it was behind the rear seat back. Seems like I driving a new tuck.

I have the same issue. Sounds like something is loose and is knocking around near or behind the rear seat on the driver side... driving me crazy haha!
I still get it once in a while in the same area. 85% better but not complete. I have done some research and it has been an issue for many years. One fix I found was to slide latex tubing inside the weatherstripping around the doors to add more solid cushion and tighten up the doors. Going to try it.

One thing to be mindful of is the jack behind the seat. Mine has (2019 F-250) made a knocking/thumping noise before so I added a rubber pad where it locks into the retainer at the base of the jack. My TREMOR hasn't done this, but I had the rubber pad ready in case it did.
