Hi All - the bed step from the recent group buy was delivered late last week and I installed it (mostly) today. Looks like an item that I’ll use quite a bit!
Anyway, the issue I am having is relative to the position of the Baja Design S2 lighting and the location of the AMP Bed Step.
The step hits against the light and won’t stow all the way up as it’s designed. Looks like I’ll need to move the light and I’m thinking of rigging them up to the sides of the hitch. Im really just searching for options here - any thoughts aside from the one I mentioned? Thanks in advance! ?
Finally, I saw this beaut at Wally World today! ?

That’s super interesting and I wonder if that means the Baja Designs lights aren’t compatible with the bed step you can order directly from Ford. I believe it’s the same thing.

Bump - obv this isn’t critical - how else has anyone mounted their rear-facing Baja Designs S2’s? At the moment I’ll have to move the lights in order to accommodate the AMP Bed Step..

I never liked the idea of those lights hanging like that so I went with the Baja flush mounts to avoid things like this. Happy I did, as I, installing bed steps (back ordered) soon.

@TellurideTremor, did you install those lights in the rear bumper yourself? I feel like I’ve seen other threads on this. I’ll search those out too. This is probably my best option if I’m going to keep the AMP BedStep.

No I used 4WP to do It. I’ve got the AMP bed step too and obviously zero issue with the flush mount

I installed a set of flush mount Rigid SRQ-Pro lights in mine recently. It’s not an overly complicated process to cut the bumper and put them in. Just be SURE they are EXACTLY where you want them before cutting.

Running the wiring harness was slightly more difficult but very doable for someone with general mechanical and electrical skills, however you may be able to use your existing setup and avoid that hassle all together.
