My spring spacers, caster shims and shocks have been ordered to level my truck 1.5”. I spent 2 hours monkeying around with the truck and jacking it to different heights and seeing how it affects the various front end components. I’m not going with the track bar or relocation bracket because my axle will end up only 1/4” offset to the drivers side. No biggie as it’s 1/4” offset to the passenger side straight from the factory.

My truck was built on 6/2 and will have about 3,500 miles by the time I get to turn wrenches on it. The optimistic side of my mind says the factory caster shims shouldn’t be too hard to get out considering the truck is less than 3 months old with just a handful of miles. The logical side of my mind says get ready for battle.

Has anybody pulled their factory caster shims on essentially a brand new truck and if so how hard was it? I plan on hitting both shims a few days prior with penetrating spray and then again the evening before installation.

Any tips or lessons learned from experience?

Following......wanna do the same thing....just picked up my 2021......has 350 miles 😆

I’ll keep you updated. I know I’ll have the SPC caster shims this week for sure. Not sure about the shocks and spacers. Shocks are Bilstein 5100’s and the spacer is from PMF suspension.

If everything comes in this week I’ll do it next Saturday. If not then it will have to wait until Labor Day weekend.

They pop out real easy. I don't think you should have any troubles after spraying then down with penetrating oil.
