Are dealers generally straight up honest when you ask how many retail allocations they currently have? Is there any way to verify?

"Dealers" and "honest" are not words you often find in the same sentence.

Some will tell you straight up that the likelihood of you getting a truck this year, based on their allocations, is very low.

Others are all too happy to make you put down a deposit and hold onto your money indefinitely.

I'm curious about the importance of the question.

That said, typically I find dealers to be a bit guarded with information if you just ask out of the blue. Sales people, on the other hand, can be a bit more forthcoming if you get them to open up a little. Look for the sales person that's a bit annoyed with management. :D

Most sales people wouldnt have a clue on allocation

I'm no expert in Ford's order process, but AFAIK an order won't go very far w/o an allocation. I'll just be waiting till they get one.

I had to order my truck through the fleet office at my local dealership. Next time I'm his way I'll stop in and ask how the order entry works.

Are you waiting for a specific dealer or are you open to other dealers?

Open to others.
You should check out Granger (if you’re willing to drive it home) but I could also give you the dealership I usd and he shipped the truck to my dealer of choice.

Considered Granger but another thread from them commented that they've reached their Tremor allocation limit. They're probably a great dealer, but makes me think they get more Tremor orders than Ford will let them sell.

I ordered my from Chuck Anderson Ford in Missouri. I dealt directly with the general Manager (Nick). No bs type of guy and gave me a good deal on my 2022. If you decide to go that route let me know and I’ll pass your info along.

He’s on another forum I frequent that’s how I dealt with him.
