I am looking for recommendations from anyone who has installed Airlift 5000 or Firestone Ride Rite airbags on their Tremor or earlier Super Duty trucks.

As a background, I have a 2021 Tremor with the 2.5” Carli Backcountry suspension with Deaver Add-a-Packs in the back and a 1” PMF block to give me a 1 3/4” rake when empty. I tow 7000 lb TT with a 1000 lb TW and when fully loaded for camping the truck is 1/2” nose high.

If your're a little nose high when loaded the airbags will level you out. I just installed Airlift 5000's & wireless controller (94352 & 25980EZ) on my 2021 F250. I had the same setup on my last truck, a 2015 F250 and I loved them. I had my 2015 leveled, so with any load I was nose high. The airbags were a great solution for me.

On my 2021, I still have the factory rake and haven't loaded it down or towed with it yet to see what it looks like under load. I put the airbags on though because I was so happy with them on my last truck.

Thanks for the details. Did your airbags help with sway control when windy? My trailer is pulling straight, but under heavy wind my truck was getting pushed around.

I believe the Firestones mount outside the frame rail so I think you have to butcher your fender liners a bit if you have them. The Airlifts replace the factory bump stops.

I just installed the Airlifts yesterday, mine where given to me so choice was kind of made for me.

Hmm...That's a tough one. I think with a bumper pull you really need a Weight Distribution Hitch to gain any benefit in windy conditions. I think the short answer is probably no. With that said...With my 5th Wheel and Gooseneck trailers I feel like the ride is better and feels more stable with the airbags than without. The bags also help at night so that my headlights remain pointed down on the road. The airbags also help a little bit with my OCD keeping everything looking level :)

After further research, I agree that a WDH is my best option to eliminate the sway when windy. I may still get the airbags to help with the sag.
