Air conditioning issue?

Today was the first that I tried the auto setting in the air conditioning mode. It did not seem to worK. I had to hit max air to get any cooling action. Has anyone else had a problem?

did you have the AC turned on? In auto mode, the AC doesn't turn on unless you set the temp all the way to Lo. With the AC button off, Auto will just change fan speed to try to lower temp or, on the other end, turn the heater on.

Max AC just increases fan speed and recirculates the air. It doesn't, as far as I know, have anything to do with the compressor.
