Aftermarket Wheels & Tire size/offset photos

The 35” Ridge Grapplers are indeed quiet on the road. Yesterday we put about 150 miles on the new set that was installed last week.
Nitto Ridge Grappler. 35x12.50LT18. 3970 lb load rating.
Icon Rebound HD Bronze. 18x9. 4000 lb load rating.
The wheels have a +6mm offset.
I took some pictures with a straightedge to give an idea how far the outside tread blocks on this particular setup stick past the flares.
It is an imperfect set of shots as I only had one hand for the phone and one for the tape measure. The fronts are about 1-5/8” and the rears are closer to 1-1/2”.

Great question BTW. Ever find an answer? Was wondering the same thing...

His and hers Super Duties. F350 with 20s and F250 with 18s.

F250 has the standard rear end not heavy duty, so if anything it should have ridden softer.

Did not notice any difference between the two in on road use, about 10K on stock tires then both trucks got Nitto RGs. 295/65R20 and 295/70R18 iirc.
Still not a notable difference on road.

Hard core offroad? yeah 18s will air down better.

Current truck is still on 18s with oem Duratracs. Still feels the same except the Duratracs feel sort of loose and wonder a bit. I haven't passed 500 miles on it though.

I think the 20s would handle evasive maneuvers a little better with less sidewall, all other factors equal. But in normal on road driving and towing at normal air pressure I couldn't tell the difference.

I agree, the 18x9 ICON Rebounds with a +6 mm offset look like they poke out about the same as my 17x9 with a +1mm offset. The fronts stick out further than the backs, but that is normal on our trucks.

Nitto Ridge Grapplers 37x12.5x17

Carli Backcountry 2.5" with Add-a-Leafs, Air Lift Airbags and 1" PMF block (1 3/4" rake)
I had minor rubbing at full lock when going up inclines until I trimmed the small plastic piece at the back of the wheel wells.

Those look great! just ordered those same wheels with the -12 offset in anthracite. It was a coin flip between your color and mine.... Literally

I love the look of 17's on 37's, but I have reservations with dropping load rates. Most of the 37x12.5x17 I see are load range D and 8 ply. What are you guys towing with the 8 plys? curious.

The Nitto Ridge Grapplers have a maximum load rating of 3525 lbs at 50 psi, which nets me 7050 lbs per axle. 7050 lbs is more than the GAWR of the front (5200 lbs) and rear (6340 lbs) axles on the truck. The 37x12.5x17D is the highest load rated 17" tire Nitto makes.

Nitto Ridge Grapplers

I am towing a 7000 lb TT with a 1000 lb TW and another 150 lbs behind the rear axle in the bed. (1150 total)

My steering axle is 4800 lbs and my drive axle is 3240 lbs with just me in the truck.

When my TT is fully loaded with my Blue Ox WDH, my steering axle is 4900 lbs and my drive axle is 4580 lbs, so I am well within the limits of the truck axles and tires I purchased.

Good points, I didn't think about GAWR. Looks like the 350 has a rear axle rating of 7230, same as 250 for the front axle. So I would be technically limited by tires with a load rating of 3525 lbs per tire. That'd be a pretty heavy load though to go over that.

Yes, that would be a huge load and I doubt I will ever get close to it with my current TT. Even though they are "rated" differently, the F250 and F350 Tremors have the same axles and rear leaf springs. So really, the F250 Tremor is simply a derated F350.

Got my truck set up couple days ago..i’ll post more pics in a bit under full sunlight since I think the lithium grey and bronze are perfect together. The tires weren’t my first choice but everywhere I asked the Toyo MTs are backordered and since i’m impatient...

How do you like the Coopers? I am coming from Toyo MTs and am about to put a set of SST Pro 37x13.5R18’s on.

So far so good..Not as noisy as i predicted. Keep in mind, im only a couple days in but I ran it up to 90mph in the freeway and it was surprisingly good.

Thx! Please post an update at 1,000 miles. Very interested to see your impression after they are broke in.

I am thinking of ditching the factory wheels and Dura tracks and going with the method nvhd and a 35x12.5 18. Is the zero offset going to be the closest to stock stick out? How much will my mileage suffer, if at all, from this switch? Thx
