Dont have the factory bed step so I am looking for options as the bed height is a bit much. I dont think the factory one would work well anyway as half the time I would need to use it while a travel trailer is hooked up and that wont work with the factory one. Anyway, I see AMP and Trekstep are the two main options for rear bumper style steps, price seems a bit high at $250 each. I could almost get a full metal rear bumper with built in steps for what two of those cost? Any thoughts?

Ford offers an OEM option called a box side step. It’s not on the tailgate but rather on the side of the truck. But it may work for your situation as you mentioned it being hooked to a trailer most times. Just a thought.

I kind of like that, wonder if you can climb in the bed with that step? Looks like price is still in the $250 range though...

I've always put a foot on the top of the tire to climb in the bed. That's free.

Yeah thats what Im doing now, just want to be able to get in the bed with the tailgate down. Usually my bed is full of gear and I have a kayak rack on the bed while camping. Prob just go with the AMP folding bumper step on drivers side bumper. Guess I can try to use the Ford Pass Points if they ever show up...
