Add winch after the fact

I would like to add the winch... but My 7.3 doesn’t have dual batteries or high idle. Anyone added the required bits to a truck post delivery? Sorry if this has been covered I did search bu no dice.

honestly you don't need dual batteries but it just nice to have, we run winches on our jeeps all the time

Every vehicle that I have owned and added a winch to only had one battery and still worked just fine with lights and everything else. I did add the second battery when I built my truck, because why not?

Yep agree. Had I gone 7.3 I’d add the battery for my Dometic fridge. The winch is fine with the engine running.
