Add the Thinkware dashcam?

I'm putting together my order and looking at accessories I noticed the Thinkware dashcam. Does anyone have it? Are you happy with the video quality? Does the dealer install it or does it just come in a box?

I have this in my F-150. I think it’s fine. I just have it in case there’s someone trying to pull the ol’ “he rear ended me” schtick, so I have proof otherwise. Also, so many drivers cutting people off in tight traffic. So it’s quality enough to provide that information. Hope I never need to use it, but it does its job

I’m planning on getting one installed (aftermarket) along with a stand alone battery, but need to get the topper installed 1st as I want a rear facing one on the back window of the topper as well as on the windshield

I have the Thinkware U1000 and it has a great picture. I have it for the same reason as Vecman above and I really forget it is even there most of the time. Occasionally I will download the video card to make sure it is operating properly. One issue I have is that sometimes it is hard to sync my phone to the dashcam and it is easier just to pull the card and put it in my computer. If you're handy you could probably install yourself. I had mine installed by a local audio/computer/car radio shop for $100.
