So I added a new wireless charger that sits over the top of the original but sits flat. The one that came in these trucks is almost a joke. Also put a vertical center console organizer in. Both were technically for f150 but fit and finish is a perfect fit in our trucks.
I wouldn't waste your money on the center console organizer though.

For those of us who are without a rig at this current moment - please explain why the OEM wireless is a "joke". (I ask because I have an OTTERBOX Defender Series Case on my iPhone 11. Will this OEM charger go through that? Will YOUR setup?). - Also, when not in use - will the "door" cover up the newly installed charger?

There appear to be two wires coming out of YOUR charger. One appears to plug into the USB in the compartment and complete that circuit to YOUR USB plug - The other one appears to run up an plug into the 12v plug on the dash to activate that blue LED strip on the plate - is that correct?

I definitely do NOT want extra wires running everywhere. That's why I'm wanting to confirm.

Also, why did you go THIS route? Thanx.

Can you share a link for the wireless charger?

I’m wondering because the charger is hard to access, and with an Otter Box it does not charge, at least for me.

Lol. Sorry guys.
I'm going to take the dash apart next week when I actually get a day off and hide the 12v wire and I ordered a female usb to usb c so I can keep my music plugged in under the new charger.

I have a Samsung s21ultra, one of the largest phones available, and getting it in and out of that cubby is not an easy task. If you're using an OtterBox it probably won't be either

The door does not close
Wireless charger goes to 12v
Usb's go to the USB in the compartment

That wireless charger setup makes a lot of sense! I never use the factory one because it's so hard to get my phone in and out of there.

How’s the charger work? I was hoping for some kinda update from Ford for my I phone 12 max to work. So far no luck…. 🤦‍♂️

Don’t wait on Ford for this. You need to visit Apple. We have 6 iPhone 12 max’s and of those 1 will not charge with Qi. Of course its mine. It’s a known problem. I just haven’t had the time to get the phone replaced.

I have the same otter box on my iPhone. It will charge for a second then the charger thinks that it has slid off of the charger or it thinks there’s is something obstructing the charge. Puts a warning up on the screen about every 50 seconds or so. Super annoying. I end up just not using it.

What makes you think they will just replace the phone?
