Hey Guys,

I noticed an oil spot on the garage floor of Friday, I thought nothing of it as I was working on lawn mowers, chain saw etc earlier in the week, this weekend I was out camping and noticed an oil mark on the front stabilizer/steering link smack dab in the middle, once I got home and crawled under I found the attached pics, is this seeping from the pan, or the front seal? The truck has 50,000 km or 31,000 miles on it, will this be covered by warranty? Anyone else with a 7.3 had this issue?

So it was the crank seal, dealer said there is a part back order, and they don't know when they'll get the new seal ?
Can you keep driving the truck in the meantime? Or did they have to disassemble it to confirm the leak?

So I just got hit with this as well. Just hit 10,500km on the truck and noticed a drip on the driveway yesterday. Just started to leak maybe a teaspoon of oil total but clearly coming from the front main seal.

I am also in alberta, did you have good luck with the repair? Did they complete within a day? Any updates would be great. I was told parts should be delivered in 7 to 10 business days.

I'm still waiting on a repair, the part was on back order, and still hasn't come in, although I was told it'd only take a day, when they get the part. Which dealer told you that it'd only take 7-10 days to get the part? Guess I'll be calling the dealer Monday to see wtf is going on.

Since they did the UV test I haven't noticed it leaking any more, no drips on the floor, and the oil level has been solid as I've been checking it every week

I am down in Lethbridge. We'll thats good it stopped leaking for you. I have basically decommisioned the truck in the driveway until it can get fixed.

I am considering reaching out to ford directly for some extended warranty or something. I also had the torque converter recall and at this point I'm getting annoyed with parking the truck. How has your experience been with your truck? You have quite a bit more km than I do.

And of course dealership can’t get it in for 3 weeks
Welcome to the party. My parts shipped from Kansas on September 9th but is somehow lost between there and Alberta. Giant PITA, but hoping it's here this week. Truck has been basically parked. It mostly stopped leaking oddly enough on the last couple of short drives, but it's still in the back of my mind and has caused me to cancel my remaining camping trips for the year. Hope they can get the parts quickly for you.

It's official, as of an hour ago the truck is fixed. Caught it early before it became an issue, but for all you guys out there, if you have this problem, make sure your dealer has the specialty tools for the job before they start. Truck spent the night at the dealership, but in the end they got it done by getting the tool from another dealer hot shotted down.

This is one example, I now have 3 6.7's down waiting on fuel contamination kits, been down for 3mths probably and we still don't have a date for release from Ford. Crazy and makes no sense to me!

Wow you have had 3 CP4 failures? How large is your fleet? Did you get a bad batch of fuel or some other extenuating circumstance for these 3 instances or is this par for the course?
