7.3 Tremor w/ a 3.55....for real

That hasn’t been the case for some time by my understanding, and just trying on the online builder right now selecting 3.55 gears forced me to the 6.7L. Selecting 3.73 gears forced removing the Tremor package.

So based on the online builder 4.30 gears is the only option with a 7.3L Tremor, unless I’m missing something?

i build one yesterday to confirm before posting

now it says on the build site when you select the 3.73 that the 3.73 is standard on the F350 with the 7.3

3.73 Electronic Locking Axle Ratio
$390 S4

Add
• Standard on F-350 SRW models with 7.3L gas engine
• Available on F-250 models with 6.2L gas engine and 6-speed transmission

I can only say when I built mine online, it allowed you to select the 3.55, however, it was a glitch, as only option when I actually ordered it was 4.30. This was the 250, 7.3, AND it was back in November of 2020 when I ordered it, so maybe it did change. When you actually place order, will be true tale of the tape.

Im not sure if the 22's are going to be able to come with a 3.55's but the one I posted was a 21' that had 4.30's listed on the window sticker but actually had 3.55's. The dealer also said niether they or a customer order the truck, it just showed up on a truck one day which they said they can't explain nor could they explain the 3.55s on a 4.30 truck. Definitely a wierd situation.

If you weren't into towing any amount of weight, this is a good option. If you spend most of the time at highway speeds, this is a good thing.... fuel economy wise anyway.
However, bigger tires, off road, more city driving, towing heavy and about every other circumstance, the 4:30's are a better option.

Went to build a '22 out on NADA. Clicking on the Tremor option it defaulted to the 4.30's, but clicked on the 3.55 and it didn't delete the
Tremor option.

Ordered my 2020 F250 Tremor 7.3 with 3.55 electric locking rear end. Pull 30’ Jayco Jay Flight w/ Elite package. Sometimes with 80 gallons of water aboard and Honda Ruckus on rear of camper. No problems what so ever with gearing. Lot of trips to mountains for trout fishing, with no issues keeping pace or even passing if necessary. That is with 9500 ~ 10,000 pound load.

Are you sure it's the 3.55??

I dont get it , you can go and build your godzilla tremor with 3.55s, so why is it a big deal that a dealer lot had one like that.
I pointed this out in it's own thread about a month ago. Consensus was it was an error on the website
