Plenty of discussions on exhaust systems here but I couldn’t find anything specific to tips only on the stock system. What tips are you all using with the factory 7.3 exhaust? Pics, price, links?

I need to do something soon. It’s the one area that seems unfinished on the truck.

Has anyone taken off the spare tire heat shield? No reason for mine to be there anymore.

I forgot, does the 7.3 have a 3 1/2" outlet ..?

I have a custom 4" polished tip. The exhaust shop offered me a 5" but that was too much Diesel for me.

Painted exhaust black and added a Gibson tip (3.5”x4”x12”)

I ordered my MBRP black tip today!
I ordered one in December, put it on over the holiday and the black is already peeling off. Hope you have better luck than I did.

That same exact tail pipe is in the mail on the way to me now. Prior to installation, did you cut your existing exhaust back a bit for the install, or did you slide that tail pipe right over the existing exhaust, as is?

Slid right on for me, the existing tip sits back about 1/4" from the new tip.

Excellent, can you still see the silverish pipe or is it well hidden by the new black tip?
