6.7 HO Reliability So Far

50K on my 2020. Had 1 leaky valve cover early on and engine cooling fan clutch replaced under warranty at about 25k. Also, not related to motor, had touch screen replaced under extended (125k 6 year) warranty. Just did front brakes for the first time this week which is very good for me;) Very happy with my truck.
Pedal Monster, 1.5 inch level pucks, front receiver hitch, MT Baja Boss 305/70/18, Nav TV, 60 gallon SB tank
Failed to understand the assignment :ROFLMAO::rolleyes::LOL::eek: just teasing ya

Just curious, how's everyone's 6.7 HO engines doing so far?

Any flaws discovered or must have upgrades to bullet proof it like in prior renditions?

I'm starting to rack up the miles, so just wanted a heads up of anything to look forward to.
It's smooth. My Wife's Truck is still running like the day we picked it up at the dealer last May. That's even after two oil changes and a drive from Virginia to our new home in South Texas. The torque is great and it still accelerates like a bat outta hell on the highway. Can't wait for mine to get here.

The acceleration surprises me. On the hwy when you want power it doesnt search for it and its not jerky. Super smooth powerful acceleration for such a large vehicle.

257 miles and averaging 20 mpg. Getting ceramic coating completed today.

I’m right there with you
Just over 500 mi and I’m a little over 20 mpg
I’ll be interested to see how it settles out once it’s broken in (whatever that really means 🤷‍♂️)

4,000 miles, currently having my transmission main valve body replaced under warranty. Started noticing that the truck when cold, shifting from reverse to drive would "launch" it to the point it tried to push through the brakee. Once warmed up no issues and it didn't skip / have any other issues shifting that I noticed. Dealer confirmed that it was failed / on the way out. While it is in, also having the dash recall performed..... Other than that it's been great
Ford is authorizing a whole transmission replacement now since the main valve body didn't resolve the issue according to the dealer. No issues with the engine, at least.

No issues with the 6.7 HO, love it. Only issue is the Sync remembering the sub screen on CarPlay. It always defaults to map so I have the CarPlay map and the Sync map. I set it so the Sync map screen is the Sync radio (Satellite) and it never remembers that.

Just hit 35k on my 23 June will be my one year mark. the HO eats the def compared to my 21. other than that no complaints.

7 months in, 9k miles, 20 or so highway even with hills, less around town. It's been loads more livable then i thought it would be.

I was asked this by a friend because he was hesitant to get one with the HO, that they had not been out long enough....

For all intents and purposes its the same motor since 2011, and since 13-14 there haven't really been any widespread issues.

I have ~15k. not a single issue.

2950 miles and dropped off at Ford. Don’t think it’s the HO specific issues or even a 6.7L issue. Seems to be a common fan clutch issue making the 6.7L sound awful and poor performance

New 2024 Lariat Ultimate 6.7 l HO just broke its camshaft at 1100 km. In Canada. Can’t even dig up a Ford rep to talk to. Apparently they expect me to just wait for a replacement engine to be installed and go away smiling. Not likely. What about loss of use, serious early depreciation, and insurance and payments for no useful purpose? I paid handsomely for a factory new truck, not a rebuilt/remanufactured replacement. At this point ready to abandon my lifelong Ford loyalty and go to GMC/Chevy.

What do you mean rebuilt they’ll probably drop a new long block in it

15 months and 24,500 miles, the only issue was a DPF sensor failed within the first 6 months. Dealer replaced it under warranty, no issues since.
