It's all over the controls arms, crossmembers, rear axle, and even a mist on the tailgate. This is not the way I want to start out my relationship with this truck! Has anybody else had a similar problem?

I did at 1500 miles but not that severe, just a small drip. It was a bad torque converter/seal, they replaced the entire trans. Seen a couple of bad pans/gaskets but yours looks a little higher up.

If that’s from up above the transmission, there is a chance it’s from the power steering system. I’d take it in and make the dealer chase the leak.

Is the power steering fluid red? It's 20 degrees and my truck is covered in snow at the moment, so I'm not going to walk out and look. All the power steering fluid I've used in the past is clear, I assumed the transmission fluid was the only red fluid in the truck. I have an appointment at the dealer next week. I'm definitely not chasing around problems on a brand new truck with warranty.

The power steering system uses automatically transmission fluid.

Not really. They have a light clear fluid from the factory. You can use transmission fluid in a pinch, but I wouldn't use it unless I was stranded in the boonies and had to get home, and then I'd replace it with OEM fluid once I was able.

It’s the same fluid. It’s nice because you only have to stock one fluid but annoying when you need to trace a leak. Ask me how I know 🙂.

The manual says that the power steering system uses MERCON LV ATF, which is the same AFT that the 6-speed transmission uses. If you have the 10-speed (which all Tremors do), you use MERCON ULV ATF for that transmission (but still LV for the power steering system).

IDK why they'd use something different from the factory, but anything's possible, I guess.

Just dropped my truck off this AM, less than 100 miles and transmission fluid was dripping away in the driveway.

+1 to this. Screenshots from the 22MY manual for the transmission, transfer case, and power steering.

Update, my front transmission pump is leaking. Ford is taking my truck back for a few weeks:cry:
Few weeks? Wow. I guess they dont have the parts to replace right away. You had it it for what, a few days now? I remember seeing photo of your truck in a dealers lot with a dealership sticker, sparked a discussion. That was late last week, brand new.

Is Ford Company actually taking it?
For research or something?
