Expecting my truck to be in tomorrow or Wednesday and set up an appointment this Saturday to get the windows tinted to help with the Arizona heat. To you guys that have the 3m crystalline…are you happy with it and is it worth the money? I have only experienced the “cheap” factory tint that dealers get installed out here as part of their dealer add packages on new vehicles. Local shop has quoted $850 including all windows and the windshield. No sunroof.

Just looking to hear some real world reviews on this stuff. Thanks to all of you!

I have experience with high end xpel and wincos ceramics but no experience with the 3m. If it's similar to the high end xpel stuff the price isn't out of line. And the high end ceramic definitely does what it says it does in regards to uv and ir heat rejection.

Personaly I would want the sun roof tinted before I would spend the money on the windshield... If you have a sunroof that is.

I have put 3M Cyrstaline on my last 3 cars from windows and I have used 3M tint for the last 20 years and I like it. We were in SoCal before and the truck and my wife's SUV both have a lot of real estate on the front windows. So, I went with 70% on the front, I can not really tell a difference in color/tint with it, but I could feel a difference before and after with the heat. It helps cut down on how hot the car gets sitting and the AC cools down quicker especially on the oven days. I think the front on the tremor cost me $175?

Reading on the 3m Crystalline vs. Xpel Prime XR Plus. 3M says 97% IR heat rejection and Xpel says 98%... to close to matter.

One post I read says 3m has a more brown hue where the Xpel is a grey/blue-ish grey hue. I would not want a brown hue personally.

3M is not ceramic based where as Xpel is. Not sure this matters since 3m seems to have the same level of performance. 3M appears to be a nano filament.

I went with Xpel ceramic pro tint, as stated above 70% on the windshield is probably the best upgrade I've done to the truck (keep in mind I'm in AZ). I can't really tell a difference between ceramic tint on my Tremor Vs. standard tint I had on the Raptor, but I think the windshield made the biggest difference.

All that said I do feel 5% on the back windows is too dark and if I had a chance to redo the tint I'd go with 20% on all side and back windows with 70% on the windshield. 5% looks so awesome especially the contrast with the Blackout Package and my Star White paint, but when I'm up in the mountains at night backing up you'll likely hear me complaining under my breath.
