35's or 37's?

I don't think the Tremor will be that effected with 37's unless your towing to max capacity.

Tremor already has very low gear ratio to handle 37's but everything I've lifted over the years has paid dearly at the gas pump.

My current truck with with 3.73 gears got lifted and 35's, turned it into a slug.

Not sure what I'm gonna do with Tremor yet but it sure does look at home with 37's.

Anyone have photos of their trucks leveled on 35’s with aftermarket wheels? 37’s look great but I can get a much better deal on 35’s. Curious if anyone is running a similar set up.

l‘be been thinking about this & researching this a lot. My conclusion has been a compromise. I found that a LT 315/70/18 is the perfect medium. In a Toyo MT it’s listed as a 36”x13” tire on their website, but with an inflated height of 35.7”. Yokohama also makes a tire in the same size the M/T G003 and it listed as a 35.6” x 12.4” tire. So this is right in the middle between the 2 most popular sizes of 35x12.5 and the 37.13.5. The LT315 also has a load rating of 3860 lbs. at 65 psi, which comes out to 15.4k and I think the most GVWR even on an F350 is probably around 13k. I only have an F250 at 10k GVWR so I could be mistaken. But either way I think this is the perfect size tire to go with, and not worry about rubbing or trimming. But, all of this is just my opinion and this is what I’m planning on going with.
Did you end up doing this? Are you leveled or planning on running these on stock suspension?

I ended up going with the Nitto Ridge Grappler in a 35x12.50 R18 and I’m still on stock suspension. I’m also on running Method wheels 701 HD 18x9 +18 offset.
If I ever do a lift on my truck then the 315/70/18 is still a tire I would consider running in the future. But at the moment I’m very happy with my selection of wheel & tires at the stock height. I would love to to a Carli level kit on in the future but I’m in no rush to do so.

I'm looking at doing this same thing, new rims and tire, leaving the suspension alone. Do you have any rubbing with the wider rims and tires? Pictures would be appreciated, I'm trying to see how far they poke out with the +18 offset.

No rubbing, and they are basically flush with the fender flares. I think they look perfect, and they ride SO MUCH BETTER than the factory wheels & tires.
I’m very happy with the +18 offset.

Yeah that looks great. I really like the black rhino wheels but they are 9.5 wide with an offset of -18 and I'm worried it will stick out too far.

Do you have a side shot of the whole truck, I’m with you I don’t think the tremors need a level. Just some actual 35s

Actually the Black Rhino ones have an offset of +12 so it probably wouldn't be that bad. Curious if the 9.5 inch wide rim would have any negative side effects.

A 9.5 inch wheel wouldn’t be bad at all and a +12 is still a decent offset. That -18 would stick way out like 2.5” more than what mine looks like now, and would most likely rub at full turns if hitting any bumps.

Yeah I think I was mistaken when I was thinking -18. I definitely want to avoid the "bro-dozer" look. There's an XD wheel that looks decent that is 18x9 +18 or the black rhino that is 18x9.5 +12

Yeah, Black Rhino makes some nice looking wheels. I actually looked at those before I decided on the methods

With leveling it. Would that make you nose high when towing a bumper pull camper?
Yes at least for me it probably would. When I hook up my travel trailer to my Tremor everything evens out nicely even with a camping gear loaded in the bed. So I won’t be leveling anytime soon.

I’ve seen a fair share of people in the past have regrets going from 35’s to 37’s on vehicles with less power (Raptors, Jeeps, etc).

I haven’t seen anyone yet with regrets going to 37’s on a 2020 Super Duty. Anyone out there with 37’s feel like the impact was of the change was excessive and wish you would’ve stayed with 35’s?

I went with 37" Toyo RTs on my Gen 2 Raptor at the same time I added an MPT tune, Full Race IC, Colder Spark Plugs and Turbo Adapters which gave me another 80+ HP, so I really did not notice any loss of power. However, due to the added weight of the tires/wheels my steering felt heavier for a short time until I got used to it. Now, I blast away in the fastest truck I have ever owned without concern.

I have ordered 37" Ridge Grapplers for my Tremor, so I will let you know how they feel compared to stock once my truck arrives.

I’ve been a committed Toyo owner for years and went through several pairs. Flawless tire.
The ones I wanted were on back order, so I ended up with ridgegrapplers, 37x12.5r17.

Haven’t put the lift on yet but have a few hundred miles on the wheels and tires. Very happy with them thus far. When shifting, they do have a bit more impact than I thought. It doesn’t shift til 10th until I’m going about 10mph faster than before. In some ways it is really nice, especially around town. In other ways, the mileage change will be a bit of a nudge.

They’re also just as quiet as stock tires IMO.

For the few miles I've driven so far? No regrets whatsoever. If anything, I have more grip.

In the old days of the 4 speeds and 6 speeds, you have to modulate your tire size and final drive to make sure the optimal power band is in the transmission gears and speeds you'll be driving. It is especially important with a diesel, since the power band is so narrow. Otherwise, you'll be lugging the vehicle or revving and going nowhere. With the 10 speed, you'll always be in the power band regardless of tire size. No need to change final drive ratios. There are so many gears to choose from that even the computers feel compelled to skip a few.

Also, there's the added weight to consider. The weight difference between the current 285/75s and the 37x12.50s are about 25-30 lbs each (this includes added wheel weight). So in all, it is 100-120 lbs of unsprung weight, which is like adding 1200-1400 lbs of cargo. That's a decent amount for a Jeep or F150. Our trucks will just shrug it off. If you want to compare straight 35x12.50s and 37x12.50s, you're looking at up to a 30 lb difference for all four tires, assuming the wheels stay the same. 350 lbs of cargo equivalent. That's like an extra two average sized men in the vehicle. Not so bad.
