Solved: 22MY King Ranch Tremor vs 22MY Lariat Sport Tremor Quandry

Ok, I'm stuck - I'm ordering a Tremor - no question.

I've spec'd out with my local(ish) dealer two variants of the 22MY Tremor

Option 1:

F350 KR with 7.3L with all options (almost)
- Not a fan of the power boards - Minnesota - Salt - Snow - Ice Buildup - etc
- LOVE - again - LOVE the KR Java Interior!
- Love the 2-tone paint with Rapid Red (Would have loved the Race Red though)


F350 Lariat Sport with 7.3l with all options (almost)
- RACE RED SPORT! Love the brightness of it
- Hate that I cannot get Black Lariat package but I know a guy that can powder coat all my chrome (i.e., F350 fender logos)
- Black Onyx leather interior is second to the KR Java Interior
- I get the black textured running boards (1st choice over powered boards)


Price difference is (exactly) $2,921.50 between both builds - Lariat being less.

Thoughts?

Price difference is not substantive. Sounds like you greatly prefer the KR. I’m sure someone will swap stock running boards for your powered if you want. Go for the KR.

It's not compatible with Race Red for some stupid reason.

Your right its not compatible with race red, wound up ordering the sport appearance package instead, will have to change a few things if I ever get the truck

Love my KR, i would suggest getting the front mud flaps to protect the pwr running boards, the Tremor running board are so high that don't really function very well as steps, the pwr work much better as they deploy down further. Additionally the skylight is much nicer than I had anticipated, really nice in the truck with the skylight all the way back. Plus with the KR you get the color matched front and rear bumpers

To the OP, I wiould be willing to trade you my stock Tremor running boards for your power running boards since I can't get the power running boards on my build with the front 40/20/40 seats. I'm in AZ, but I'd be willing to pay the difference....just saying. Get the KR if that's what you really like and the running board situation will work out in the end with another forum member.

Yeah. Ordered mine with black appearance package (AMB exterior) but tried to change from black leather to tan…no go. Black Appearance = Black Leather. I stuck with black leather.

I just got a black package Lariat, but I think by reading your post, you prefer the King Ranch. So I think you should get that one.

The main differences to me are the KR has the silver band across the tail gate and the orange leather. Personally, I don't like either of those, so went Lariat.

The main differences to me are the KR has the silver band across the tail gate and the orange leather. Personally, I don't like either of those, so went Lariat.

The silver band on tailgate is only on the CHROME variant of the KR (I believe) and you're right. I don't like that look either.

I DO prefer the interior color over black.

Still tossing around. Great ideas being tossed around.

If the KR seats are as comfortable as the platinum seats I'd consider leaning that way. Platinums are like floating on 7500lb pillow, never drove a KR but have a few miles behind a platty. Vote: KR
