Who else on this forum would be excited about having the powerboost system that’s in the F150 right now, built into the new super duty series? As a farmer and a firefighter I could think of so many ways of having 7000+ watts of power in the bed of my truck! The possibilities are endless... To be able to weld, power my tools, incorporate a heater for winter camping, induction cooktop tailgating, and most importantly have a way to power my home during an emergency when the grid goes down!! Who else is with me? From what I understand, the brand manager for Ford super duty is Tom Somerville. How do we get a hold of him to make this happen? I really think it’s a no-brainer to put the power boost in the super duty lineup. Thanks folks and happy New Year’s!

Yeah let’s hope there’s some momentum for putting the power boost in the bed of the super duty trucks we love...

Ford reported that they wouldn't build a BEV version of the SD trucks. So no full electric. But from what I've read, a hybrid isn't off the table. A diesel electric hybrid? Hell yes sign me up. It would be a freight train. I could see the electric motor being a great option while towing to get the truck to speed from a stop. Plus that bed power would be cool for camping.

I don't see a 6.7 idling for any extended period of time without melting the asphalt underneath it.

Yep; I'm not sure i'd want to even the idle the 7.3 for an extended time, plus more fuel usage compared to a portable generator. Only issue with portable generators is the potential of theft.

It is in development I'm sure with the redesign they will have power boost its a no brainer

? Even the Maverick has more bed functionality.

Very eagerly awaiting the 2023/24 Super Duty.

Just this morning Ford Authority announced the redesign for 2023. No details, but they suggested Blues Clues is in the mix. Can you imagine a SD truck that drives for you, with an electric assist engine and power in the bed.

I could see them add the powerboost hybrid system to the 7.3. You could end up with all the same numbers as the 6.7 for HP and Torque but in an engine that has way less bells and whistles to get there.

Well, power boost in a 150 uses the Ecoboost 3.5/ Not sure if that motor setup could run a superduty, Guess we will see
