Appreciate some help / insight into a few aspects of getting an F250 as I have read through the various threads and its quite a lot of information to take in!

Attached is my build that I created on the ford website (I assume 2022 will be vary similar based off order guide). Comparing to US website there is no 397amp alternator however if I choose dual battery maybe that would be included? (On US site it automatically adds dual battery when you select 397)

Adaptive steering seems to have quite a bit of negative feedback and best I can tell there is no easy way to turn it off so I may as well not spend the extra :)

Payload reduction (I believe?) package I don't see a way to remove on the website however a similar build (but 2021) has payload of 2728lbs (confirmed based off actual sticker on truck, window sticker attached for reference). As best I can tell it also has the payload reduction. Maybe some Ontario specific users can comment on if that relates to licensing (only have G / no plans to get a different license)

Any feedback on Customer-Placed Trailer Camera vs getting something after market?

While I have no immediate need / requirement I assume getting the Upfitter Switches now is much cheaper then needing to worry about it after the fact?

As for towing plan on travel trailer (part of reason I am moving from 18 F150 502A to an F250) something like this > https://www.kz-rv.com/products/sportsmen-se-travel-trailers/281BHSE.html

Anything I am missing or should consider/completely missing out on?

Hello, I just ordered a 2022 from Ontario. I haven't seen the 9900# package for the tremor. But I dont think it matters if you use it as a personal vehicle. The issue is if it's used commercially. I didn't get the Upfitter switches I know I don't add accessories that require them. I did add the gooseneck/fifth wheel package for possible future purchase and probably get a better resale value. Adding the dual batteries can be a good thing if you will need that extra capacity, if not it's just less available payload as the battery weighs a substantial amount.

I ended up ordering a 7.3l xlt premium in iconic silver. The long wait begins... im actually still waiting for my 2021 f150 that I ordered in March...

Did you find dealer willing to negotiate? I won't be doing any serious shopping until at least mid June. I went to dealer last weekend to get a sense for the Tremor and give it a quick drive. Appears to be a smaller dealership and was pretty firm on MSRP being the price.... needless to say I likely won't return there for my order.

Wont be able to see dealer for another week or so.
Other then adding Roof Clearance Lights anything I am missing out on?
The 9900 GVWR is not a de-rate on the F250 only on the F350 correct?
Tonneau / Floor Mats as part of order or do them after with dealer?

Greetings all!

I ordered a F350 Tremor in November 2021 with 7.3, two-tone, Adaptive steering, 5th wheel package, double batteries, roof lights, up-fitter switches, captain's chair, Lariat ultimate...all without the payload reduction. It is for personal use only (towing RV). I went to MTO agent and said they can licence the GVWR for whatever I want when it arrives regardless of the actual truck capability. You just have to be under the 11,000 kg combination weight or I will require an "A" licence. This way I keep my payload capability should my needs change.

Obviously I expect to wait a bit. As for pricing, I do have a friends and family plan so negotiating wasn't an issue. I approached my local "small" dealer who said they would order it but only if I paid full MSRP. They explained they get such a limited allocation, they wouldn't order a truck they would not make much money on. Luckily, I found a cooperative dealership network much larger and with more allocation.

I’m picking a2022 f350 platinum tremor 6.7 up Monday in Edmonton…paid full price. But…it was last one in Canada two weeks ago available for sale and the guy knew it. I needed a good truck and had to trade my 19’ ram limited 1500 in as well to make the deal…they’re have no trucks anywhere in inventory. I’m in Thunder Bay…when I asked the dealer here…the guy laughed and said “you want a real unicorn there my friend…probably be 8-12 months plus if put 5k down and order today…”. I had mine bought three hours later. It is what it is. Anything under msrp is a genuine deal. Sticker seems normal. it could be two years before the supply chain is back to any kind of normal, so I grabbed one now.

LOL! Saw a couple out west and not surprised they are gone. I guess you got one of them. Congrats and I hope you enjoy it! Good name for your truck (or maybe not)...the "Unicorn" lol!
