Has anyone noticed that the towing guide numbers have changed? I could have sworn the chart showed 2020 7.3 tremor f350 with a 5th wheel rate of 16,800 and the 2021 chart showed 20k.
now when I look, both years show a 5th wheel rate of 20k

There should be no difference between 2020 and 2021. They are very few changes. The capability depends on model (F250 vs. F350), engine, gear ratios. It is in the Ford Super Duty brochure. I attached the 2020.

Thanks for the reply and I know that an f250/350, engine, gear ratio etc all play a role. I just could have sworn when I started looking the online chart Ford puts out showed the 2020 F350 tremor with the 7.3 having a 5th wheel goose neck rate of 16,800. And the 2021 chart showed the same truck at 20k.
now when I go back and look at the 2020 chart it says 20k. I was just curious if my old eyes tricked me or if maybe Ford made an error and then went back and fixed it.
Here is a screenshot and the original 2020 tow guide that shows the f350 tremor at 16,800.
what’s even crazier is it shows the F250 tremor with a higher 5th wheel rate then the F350

There was a early printing of the towing guide that did show 16,800 for 7.3L Tremor F350 Max goose/5er https://www.ford.com/cmslibs/conten.../guides/20Towing_Ford_SuperDutyPU_r1_Nov7.pdf . The newer printing fixed the typo, I actually questioned Ford on this when looking earlier in the year and was sent a link to the version of the guide on the site now showing 20K

Edit here is the updated 2020 guide. https://www.fleet.ford.com/content/...-guides/2020_Ford_RVandTrailerTowingGuide.pdf

I’m going from a 2019 Chevy 3500 duramax that I tow my 5er with to a 2021 tremor. I actually passed up a 2020 tremor because of the guide that was wrong.
I’m just happy in not crazy. lol. Well I’m a little crazy. This is my 5 new truck in 5 years. Lol

You are not crazy on that, I also thought it was strange that a F250 would be rated to tow more than a F350. Luckily the fix came out before I put my order in so had good numbers to make my decision with.
