Coming from a L5P Denali, the first thing I noticed was the height difference. This is obviously a personal opinion, but I feel like I'm 6" higher in the Tremor lol. Next has been the MPG. I was getting about 21/22 combined city/highway in the L5P. Long highway trips would run about 23 mpg. Best I can do on the same trips in the Tremor is about 20. (Fuel bias adjusted in both trucks after running numbers by hand). City in the L5P would run about 20 mpg while the Tremor can't stay above 17. I'd say they ride about the same, although the two had completely different tire/wheel setups. The L5P had drop shackles and the Tremor is getting them soon. I've put the Cabover America cab lights on the Tremor as well and highly recommend against them. Debating going the hardwire route that I should've done in the first place. Towing is about the same in both, can't tell anything is back there with just a car trailer with one on there. A lot less options I didn't realize with the Tremor vs Denali until I had it for a few days and started noticing stuff here and there. I realize its a Lariat vs Denali, but still figured it would have some things it doesn't. I will say the only reason I switched is because the panoramic sunroof convinced me lol. Looking back, I wish I would've kept the Dmax and tuned and deleted, but we'll see how things go and maybe the Tremor will get that treatment in a little while.

Also, if anybody has dropped the rear and thrown 22x12 on 35's, I'm wondering how it looks on a Tremor. Only see guys mostly raising them. Thanks in advance.

not to be a dick, but I think you're in the wrong place asking for dropping a tremor in the rear and throwing 22" rims on. the Tremor is a super duty with an off road based twist so most people who buy them aren't looking to drop the rear and throw street wheels on them.

that being said, both trucks look great. I like the massive grill on the GMC denalis. I just cant get past the mirrors lol

Interesting. I have the opposite opinion. I traded a 2020 F-250 Lariat 6.7 on a 2021 Denali Duramax Black Diamond Edition and only kept it 8 months before trading it on my 2022 F-350 KR 6.7.

My Denali Duramax with stock tires averaged 1.5-3 mpg less than my 6.7s (3 less than the stock 2020 and 1.5 less than the current Tremor).

I also feel like the power difference in daily driving is noticeable, with the tuning in the 6.7/10 speed being superior over the 6.6/10 speed in the GM.

I also felt like my 2021 Denail was pretty plain to be the highest trim level GM offered.

I always find it interesting that people have different opinions about the same or very similar products.

Thanks for sharing!

Very nice to hear another opinion! What options are you happy with the KR that the Denali didn't have?

I knew I was going to get this response, but I change out tires regularly between off roading trips and daily driving. I know its not a popular setup for an offroad package, but tbh I only bought with the Tremor package because of the deal I got. I do have to say I don't think most of the people that own them will ever put them to the use they are made for.

So your Denali was tuned and the Trenor is not? New here as well, but what kind of tune was done, or is that what your were referring to when you did the math on the MPG?

Nice trucks. I'm curious what are some of the missing options your dmax had? I liked the HUD and felt like the gm 10speed was super smooth but had less character and aggressiveness than fords 10spd. I also like how the ford display gears 1-10 all the time, show current gear and have manual mode in addition to the standard gear lockout feature. I think gm is missing atleat one of those. I think the truck will look good with 22x12. I've driven a 20' f250 with a readylft 2.5 on 35x12.50r22 and it rode better than I thought but might not be quite as smooth as the dmax.

I sold my 2020 Silverado HD High Country Duramax back in June and ordered my 6.7 Tremor. There are things I miss like the ride, the digital rear view mirror, and the heads up display. It's gonna take me some time to get use to it. But I really like the screen and looks of our Tremor's. And the interior don't feel as cheap on the Tremor.

Twin panel moon roof (vs standard sunroof in Denali), massaging seats, rain sensitive wipers, number code door panel.

I do miss the HUD in the Denali

The twin panel is a win for sure and I'm surprised nobody has followed suit, especially after a few years. I don't really like the door panel number entry but I do miss the proximity entry so I never needed to push any buttons or deal with a fob, just open when I'm in range of the front. Now that you mention it, I didn't even realize the Tremor doesn't have the HUD. Now I'm missing that part too lol

That rear digital mirror was awesome along with the million other camera angles accessible.

Man. I’ve driven vehicles with that and it gives me A headache in no time flat ….

First I'll say that I have no experience with GMC trucks so that's the base of knowledge I'm starting with! How does the GM entry system work vs. Ford? I have a fob but do not need to use it to enter the truck (other than having it on my person). Thx, just looking for a bit of schooling... :)

Well I had a 2020 Denali 2500 ----- yes will miss the HUD Big Time and the mileage not to mention it is quicker than the Ford. The GM product I would have gotten over the Ford but GM will not put the Intelli Cruise in the HD trucks. That is a deal breaker for me. Like the interior better on the Ford but mechanically over the years I have had several lemons from Ford including the 2018 I traded for the 2020 Denali.

Is the quicker from SOTP or other results? Car and driver said the 6.7 tremor is the quickest diesel pickup they've ever tested. 6.1 0-60 and 14.6 quarter mile vs 6.5 and 15.0 in the Denali.

Hmmmmmm you have a point. I was talking about stop light to stoplight. Have not looked at the 2022 model times on the Tremor. Did see the where pulling a sled the GM killed the Ford because of the poor software management. Empty looks like the Ford may have an edge possibly. :)

Thanks for the link! An interesting read and definitely a better test of what these trucks were built for.
