Hi guys,
Finally my dealership has communicated that in fact the Warn Winch option is available for order via the dealership or thru the Ford Performance website. The part number is M-1821-SD and yes its a whopping $3K for the kit plus installation. Delivery seems to be somewhere around March timeframe.

Isn't it a version of this:

I think Ford pays the dealerships $250 for install? So if that's true, maybe it explains the $3k.

I am sure Ford and warn are making a profit some how

I ordered my Tremor with the winch. It's a really cool feature imo that you will have it if you ever need it.

Need a zeon platinum option

I still don't get why if it's a Warn you can't buy your own Warn for $1500. I know some have said it won't fit but It seems odd that Warn would make one specifically for the Tremor with a unique mount. If true it probably didn't cost Warn much to design it and tool it - basically nothing for programming the CNC.
I would think a conversion plate could be made by any machine shop for $250 max if you gave them a template.

This winch was designed specifically for Ford. The free spooling clutch is clocked differently to allow it to be reached.

And if they’d have used the platinum, the clutch is on the remote.

I even think that if they had to pick one model, it would be this one:
you might be able to flip it around to mount it as they do, plus the price is not as far away from the Ford Performance part as people think (about a $500 difference). I just asked my dealership for price to install, so will post when I hear back from them.

That’s a much better winch. I have the 10s version on my Jeep. Faster, better IP rating and a much better more capable remote.

I ordered a King Ranch 350 on the 20th of Jan and the salesman that processes the order was surprised to see the winch option included on my order, didn't even know Ford offered it. Must have been the first one ordered at Pearson Ford with a winch. I'm glad I waited as long as I did.

Just picked my winch kit up from the dealer!

The pics indicate it is closer to a modified M-12S, designed specifically for Ford to fit in the space, not a zeon. I think there are pictures of the sticker on the winch (that I can't find right now) that say it is part of the XP series, so, possibly a special 12k version of this: https://www.warn.com/95xps-winch-87310

It’s a ZEON. It says So right in the Ford description on the website. I've even highlighted it for you. Look here:

When adding the Winch, do you need 2 batteries? I have a 21 Tremor and I didnt order it with a winch due to backorder.

Somebody call Warn and straighten this out. I am almost certain this is not a zeon - perhaps a misprint.

dont know about the battery, but I know that apparently you do need the 397A Alternator option.

No, you don't need the extra battery or more alternator. It's better to have it but you don't need it. People run winches on rigs with much less battery and alternator capacities.

Make sure the truck is running when winching.

Looking at the pictures, size, capacity looks like its a Zeon Platinum 12-S. I feel like the major difference is that since it is to be mounted behind the bumper, the shrouds that cover the motor, the clutch, etc. had been removed as to reduce its form factor.

Well, Amp draw is based on pulled weigh. at 12K lbs the Amp draw of the winch will be 446A. Just because others do it doesn't mean its adequate. The winch will definitely work, and would be able to pull a certain bit, but once you cross over the max amps from your truck, it will have issues even a potential fire.

Here the specs:

Decided to auction your winch?
Sorry; just saw this. In my quest to find one, I had feelers out all over and wound up with two. First one got installed last night on the Tremor. Second one should be here in a week or so.
