2.5 inch receiver not 3 inch?

All, 2021 7.3 Tremor finally came in. Went to put on new 3inch BW hitch and receiver opening is 2.5inch? Did I miss something? I thought they came with the 3 inch?

I believe the 6.7 comes with the 3” and the gassers are 2.5.

Can anyone confirm that all 2020 plus 7.3 F350 Tremors come with the 2.5 inch receiver? I checked another forum and seems like some do and some don’t. There is mention of towing package for F250’s which comes with the 3inch... Just trying curious if I could have ordered a towing package with my 7.3 F350? I did order the 5th wheel prep...Thanks

Every 7.3 even with the high tow capacity has came with a 2.5 inch ... been talked about alot .... only the 6.7 will get the 3 in.... but you could always get a 3 inch hitch receiver and replace the 2.5 in

My buddy have a 6.7 250 and his has the 3 inch
And my job has a 7.3 XL work truck that's a f350 has a 2.5 inch .. that used for towing so I believe has more engine impact then the badging

I can confirm have a 2020 F-350 7.3L Tremor and it only gets the 2.5”. Only ways I know of to get 3” factory is Diesel, DRW, or camper package in the F-350. The HCTTP on the 6.7L F250 also gets the 3” reciver the rest of the F250s get the 2.5” standard and could possibly be optioned to 3” but not aware of option in a Tremor to get the upgrade.
I do wish my F-350 7.3L Tremor had the 3” since it is not the easiest to track down a rental goose neck to take more tongue/pin weight.

SRW? If so you have the first SRW 7.3L I have come across with the 3” receiver. I wonder what got you the 3”, do you have a camper package?

I suspect it is the camper package that got you the upgrade. Unfortunately the camper package is not available in the Tremor and surprisingly not common in my area on the regular Superduties.

Thanks I will correct my post. The 3” would definitely be nice since the 2.5” has a 1520 lb tongue weight limit.
