I believe in most states it's X amount of repair attempts (for the same problem) or X amount of time spent at the repair shop.
You might already be eligible if it's going on the 4th attempt. Might want to start doing the research and preparing yourself.
Roads were slick today driving into work and was the first time I used 4x4 for an extended amount of time.
Noticed as I would increase speed and let off the throttle, I could hear a faint rubbing / grinding noise (the best way I can describe it) coming from what I believe is the transfer case...
0 Offset fan here. Just the slightest bit of poke (if you really look) otherwise, looks flush for the most part.
Everything else just has to much of a "tucked" look, like your driving on rails.
As reliable as they say the DCR should be, I would be hesitant about doing the swap:
A. Dropping 100k on a new truck and then immediately spending $3k+ on an upgrade. I guess if I knew for sure I was keeping the truck long term, it might make sense.
B. Risk of voiding the warranty. If...
I believe the "power up" update, relates to the gateway module being updated and has nothing to do with the sync revision.
Speaking of which, my truck just updated again to 4.2.4
Looks awesome man!
I'm fortunate enough to live only 3-4 hours away from A-Rod's main shop. I've chatted with him about eventually doing a DCR pump install.
My goal is DCR + full Pusher setup (manifold, cold and hot-side)
Amsoil is also not listed as an approved oil for Ford, even though Amsoil list their oil as "exceeds the CK-4 spec"
Has really nothing to do with how good the oil is and more so with paying the associated fees to be on their approval list.
Oil will expand after it warms up and when you have 15qts, there is lot of potential expansion that could happen.
This is why they want you to run the engine first, to help take the temperature out of the equation.
Odd
It is normal for the DPF to passively regen, typically happens when towing.
Its hard to know for sure if its doing active regens based upon just watching the DPF%.
Things may have changed for 23-24 trucks though. I would just continue to keep an eye on it and let the dealer know if it...
There must have been a new sync update that was just released. My truck received an OTA update for the very first time... damn miracle.
This is after having already sync 934 installed
