    BED EXTENDER FIT/NO FIT?

I have one, 48 gallon gas tank included, not Tremor compatible :ROFLMAO:

SOLD New Bakflip MX4 St. Louis $800

Most of the guys on here spent 70 to 80k on an off-road HD truck that they mostly drive on the highway, towing nothing, alone and unloaded. Spending an extra $300 to have a bed cover shipped to their door with no concerns about legitimacy is probably what they'll do. My first thought is "why...

    Stock 6.7 to a Tuned 7.3

I'd say it's all about 'wants' vs 'needs'. Maslow has written quite a bit on the subject. It doesn't sound like you 'need' an HD truck, so I guess it boils down to getting what you want. I wouldnt say a stock 7.3 is particularly fun to drive, it's a powerful truck that is good for doing work...

Truck is delivered, dealership trying to alter the deal

I would politely remind them that you will be happy to write accurate reviews of your experience. Also, that you will be happy to contact Ford directly if you aren't satisfied. While neither of these are very strong cards to play, both can cost the dealership real money if they have a good...

    7.3 Hard Shift into D

This TSB describes possible cause being the torque converter not being completely full. I can only assume that time since last running, slope truck is parked on and ambient temperature (fluid viscosity) all probably play a role. High idle at startup may exacerbate the problem, but a few...

Which trailer camera do I need?

In case anyone is wondering, I went ahead and connected the camera to my truck and it functions fine. I think the only difference between the two kits is the ability to connect a yaw sensor to the kit designed for UTT w/pro trailer assist. Since I don't have a yaw sensor and am putting the...

    Trailer Camera - SOLD

I have decided to hold off on selling it for now and I'm going to try it out on my truck first. After a little more research it seems that the camera kit that I purchased does not include a connector for the yaw sensor. However, since I tow conventional and did not get the 5th wheel prep (nor...

    Trailer Camera - SOLD

Note - No longer available, see post #3 below I bought the wrong part number and naturally I realized my error one week past the 30 day return window. This one does not work with the Pro Trailer Backup assist, only with the camera only option from the past. Ford was little help, just cutting...

    Why diesels have more GVWR?

Ability to stop might be a factor, of course diesels have better 'go' but their enhanced ability to 'stop' is often overlooked

Rising fuel cost, 7.3 or 6.7

Not arguing whether diesel cycle is thermodynamically more efficient than otto cycle. Also not arguing whether diesel has a higher energy density than gasoline. I think we agree on these points. I just don't think either of these issues represent the primary reason why diesel engines dominate...

Rising fuel cost, 7.3 or 6.7

I agree that there is a reason, but I disagree about what is the first reason.

Need help with purchasing - looking at a 2020-2022 Tremor - towing 5th wheel

If you're not worried about the sticker rating then the 250 Tremor can be a good option. But yeah, if you want to stay under the sticker then you're looking at a gasser or a 350. Personally I'd go straight to a 450 if I wanted a diesel to pull a big 5er

Need help with purchasing - looking at a 2020-2022 Tremor - towing 5th wheel

250 and 350 tremors are the same truck, different badge and rating. So there is no difference in capability. For non Tremor the capability is slightly different between 250 and 350, but a 250 can be modified to be nearly as capable as a 350 relatively easily. If you want to stay within the...

Your ideas to cut fuel usage

Drafting off of big rigs works pretty good if you don't mind rock chips or other associated hazards.

Rising fuel cost, 7.3 or 6.7

I guess you don't buy DEF, fuel filters, cold weather additives, and the like... Or weren't you really going for an accurate analysis? Never heard of a modern gas engine only expected to run 100K, but thats just me.

Rising fuel cost, 7.3 or 6.7

So based on your 38 mile fuel efficiency test I regret getting the 7.3. Shucks.

Rising fuel cost, 7.3 or 6.7

Funny how people always claim 20 mpg with the 6.7 and 16 mpg with the 7.3. I'm guessing reality is closer to 16 and 12, but whats 4 mpg between friends? Data from Fuelly below - obviously a lot more data points for the 6.7.
