I considered shipping it to Australia where I moved, and having it converted to Right Hand Drive, but at the end of the day that was too big of a project for me...
i was in new mexico and it’s been getting cold. when it first started it was maybe 50F out. also 4500 ft elevation. yes i got down to 0miles left and 25miles left recently. is that bad?
a couple days ago i went to start my truck and it kinda got stuck on the cranking (or clicking?) sound, pretty much indefinitely until i pressed the button to turn it off. after a couple tries, it started normally.
yesterday it happened again a couple times.
is this something simple, or...
As far as I know, the prerequisites are: 1) it has to be registered to you 2) you have to have owned it for a year (i have owned mine for 1y 5m) 3) you have to pay duties/customs and get it converted to RHD
The conversion cost is high, but once over there, after it's all said and done, I would easily make a $30k USD profit if I sold it there, they are so in demand.
I've heard stories of people selling their trucks for what they paid, because of the messed up economy and increased demand.
When I looked into getting a dealer quote for buying my truck back a year ago, the offer was something like $7k less than what I paid, and $15k off MSRP.
Are there any...
I was told their 2 ton would work on a Super Duty. I would like to know if their 2 or 3 ton jack fits under the back seat, maybe with the plastic wheels off.
I would get it line-X'd. The horse mats are unnecessary, and at least the 3/4" ones from Tractor Supply are 100lbs each, so if you put two for 1.5", do you really need to be carrying around 200 extra pounds all the time?
I went to the FWC factory in woodland to get them to add extra wooden...
I am just curious ... what did you pay for your '21 truck (also how close to MSRP) and what did they offer. If you don't want to discuss specific numbers, what % of the original sale price did you make back?
Hawk is fine for me size wise. People throw Grandbys in a 6.75' bed and just set the overhang on the tailgate.

I noticed a dime-sized dent in my front bumper a couple days after I'd taken the truck home from the dealer. Close to zero percent chance I caused it / it happened under my watch. They of course took no responsibility.
RHD conversion is $30k USD.
Also they have to pay a pretty hefty import/customs fee, I believe 15% of the worth of the vehicle. Converted Super Duties with low miles in Australia are selling for $200k AUD, so even after going through all of that work with the imports and conversion, you could...
I DEFinitely realize I've stirred the hornet's nest here, and that was not my intention.
There is some good info though. I need to learn more about how emissions systems lessen the lifespan of a diesel engine. Diesel engine longevity is legendary. If they truly are getting 1/3 the life, that...
