The one thing that has changed for me is that I got a Westin grill guard with winch plate and had the installer move the factory winch . It required drilling new mounting holes to match the factory winch. I have used it many times so far and it has been bulletproof! I think it looks great as well.
I’m in and out of the truck opening and closing gates or picking things up to throw in the bed. I HATE the double honk(followed closely by the triple chime)
Thanks! I knew there had to be a way. When I had it in for service I asked if anything could be done but the tech said it was a safety feature that couldn’t be disabled. I figured it could be.
I find the horn blowing when I exit my truck and it’s running to be a huge annoyance.I keep my keys in my pocket so I don’t lose them. I’m in and out all the time opening and closing gates. I get the impression that the horn can be turned off with forscan. How do I do that or where can I get it...
Great build! Mine is similar w/ carbonized grey and black package. I went with carpet delete, heated everything and the winch. I ordered the end of June and it was on the dealers lot before the end of August.
Dealer also told me that the winch bumper is different than non winch bumper. I guess it has a cutout for the fairlead. Not a straight install from my truck to non winch even with winch mount because of the bumper.
Was there enough metal to just drill 4 new holes to keep it centered or did you drill 2 and use 2 that were already there with the winch offfset a little?
I thought about doing the same thing with my jeep, but figured I’d try to adapt it to the winch mount on the brush guard instead of buying another winch. I already have a winch on the jeep, I just don’t like it.
To further complicate things, the factory winch is a 8 X 4 1/2” pattern and standard is 10 X 4 1/2”. Can’t mount grill guards because factory winch mounting interferes. I looked at the ranch hand midnight series bumper but it’s not available short term. So, I’m mounting a Westin grill guard and...
I’m getting a similar Tremor in a couple of weeks. Dealer is working on getting a ranch hand midnight series bumper/ grill guard installed with a warn Zeon 12-s winch before I take delivery . Grey and black sure looks great!
Instead of installing a winch myself, I ordered the factory offering from Warn. In researching grill guards, I discovered that most won’t work with the factory winch option. Anyone have any experience or work around?
Hi All,
I’m glad to finally be able to join a group dedicated to Ford Tremors! I ve had a number of Super Duty diesels over the years and loved them all. My last was a 2019 Lariat and while it was the best of all, it still had me feeling like I wanted something a little more. When the Tremor...
